Sorry....i have know doubt that people will disagree with me but Skyclad without Walkyer is like Maiden without Dickinson or Motorhead without Lemmy.....it just doesn't work.
When one man puts all he has into something then puts up a "friend" only to be replaced by 'that friend' kinda puts a damper on things. Martin Was 50% Of Skyclad taking that away and the way this singer came about just plain sucks. I cannot bring myself to Skyclad without Martin. Sabbat broke after on horrible attempt w.out him. Wait a minute Just finished reading and I agree with everything Daghda138 says. This is NOT Skyclad! & Yeah Mtv SUCKSTOOO!
Skyclad has matured again, and again, and again. And they're better as a whole from 1990 to now. It's not Martin, but it's still Skyclad. And Martin is kicking ass on his own, so why not love them both eh?
The last album, In the all together, is different from previous albums and the missing of Walkyier is evident, but i think that Ridley managed to get the right "Skyclad spirit" in this song's lyrics and vocal style. He's a great singer too!
@redknight91 I agree that he is a great singer, but i dont think he quite has the emotion in his voice Martin had. Although he likely never will, but this song is definetly on route to the "Skyclad spirit".
Part of the reason why Skyclad is such a great band is that it has, since the beginning, been evolving and changing. So yeah, this IS Skyclad. BECAUSE it is(once again) different, not inspite of it.
Having been accompanied by Skyclad throughout my teenage, with them therefore playing a crucial role in my becoming who I now am, having seen them twice with Martin in two absolutely fantastic concerts, I have to say that Skyclad without Martin's lyrics and voice simply CANNOT be. They will always have a special place in my heart, BUT....
Everybody was going to kill me at the concert they had here in Sofia, Bulgaria when I said that I'm listening to them for the first time. Great band... they sound even better live!
Very creative and sophisticatedly done video, congratulations! Just saw the band live again last week after 7 loooong years. This song was also played along with a few others from the new album. Skyclad still rules!
Forgive me hah, forget forgiveness . Anyhow The band is great, but the song writing and vocals just sound like MTV and MTV is ignorant when it comes to talent.
This is not Skyclad! Its like having Misfits come back w/o Glenn Danzig, Or the failed comeback of the Dead Kennedy's w/o Jello Biafra.
I have a strong felt sorrow for newer generations to listen to this thinking this is Skyclad. Hopefully If they like it they will soon hear the real band.

They're still good, but I really preferred hearing martins voice, it just fitted the music more.

Sure, Martin was way better, but if you compare this to other bands, it still very good.
It may be not the same, but still, it's a GREAT band (period)
