I can't shake the feeling that CBS gives their female guests high heeled shoes to wear.
In a couple of interviews I noticed that the girls were wearing either red or black shoes with red and black soles respectively. Those shoes always looked the same and often didn't fit the outfit.
If that is true (actress wearing shoes CBS doesn't like, so they give her ones that'll look good on TV), one can't blame the actress for not being able to walk in them.
I've dated this type...Everything about her says"Creative, but batshit-crazy. RUN!" There's a hurricane of psychological issues swirling around in there and you don't want to be the person clinging to the tree thinking "I'll wait this out!"
aTigereye1 In the mini series delusional downtown divas Where can I find the episode where the divas go to a brooklyn loft and go to a party with a girl who gives them free show passes? *** anyone remember it?
Pretentiousness wears a blue dress. Wow. She wrote a movie about her own life and cast her family to play....her family. How self important can this bint be?
@iamadamsusername It's called " low budget." There are people out there who'd love to make films but can't pay the ridiculous amount of money it takes to get big-name actors because those people make more than they deserve anyway. Also, there is nothing wrong with casting people who are your friends/family in a little film like this. The ex-Stargate actors do it all the time. One of them made a film and basically all the people in it were his former co-stars, including his sister. And it WORKED.
I spent the first two minutes trying to figure out if her arm was severely bruised or scarred or birthmarked or varicose veined until I realized that it looked like...India. right...?
Well, really weird interview(entertaining, but weird)... probably someone should enlighten us, europeans across the ocean: is that new generation of US kids and are they ALL like Lena?
And I thought, what an accident has happened to the arm of girl, but it turned out to be tatoo, that doesn't look good in TV.
I really enjoyed the interview, she came across as eccentric and intelligent. It's funny how people react to someone who is not part of the "socially accepted norm" ;)
@kardredren If intelligent to you means 'capable of speaking', then yes, she came off as intelligent. She came off as a person who lacked respect for the medium she was involved in (Star Wars-One of the greatest trilogies in film, a necessary viewing), who had no problem lying in order to fit in a social group (6 or 7 tattoos-pick one, or stop caring about what others think of you), and stereotyped homsexuals as being inherentely camp. 'I don't want to feed stereotypes...' You just did! Twice!
@STorpedo regarding the stereotyping, isn't that a strange complaint for someone who watches craig ferguson? And the rest are equally dumb complaints. You just come off sounding like someone who is desperately trying to justify his hatred for things he doesn't know or understands. (see what i did there? i construed the things you said to mean the absolute worst of you? remind you of anyone?)
@concray There's a fine line between making a joke and perpetuating a stereotype. Let me be more clear-there's a difference between using an exaggerated version of a stereotype for a joke, and saying 'you're just so hetero' with a straight face, as though the stereotypes are actually true. I brought up examples, and interpreted them fairly objectively; if you disagree, address the specifics as I did, don't just say that something 'IS' without backing argumentation.
Yeah I found the interview slightly awkward, but the awkwardness made it kind of funny. And I like her for, if nothing else, her mention of The Big Tease. And Craig's gay decorator story.
As someone who watches Craig everyday (on here if I fall asleep too early to see it on TV or on TV and on here again the next day) I think this is one of the better interviews I've seen in a while...though I'm not 100% sure why...
@cooldarren she's an overly honest body. usually people have these walls built around them but she doesnt seem to have that many walls, or maybe her defense mechanism is her forwardness .
i paused the show and watched The big tease its here on youtube great its almost like watching one big sketh of hes i swear when i saw him dancing i thought of the secreteriate dance and the beginning when reading a letter it was like hes tweet and mail section.
Wow.... this was personal info beyond the pale for Craig - even he didn't seem entirely comfortable. Sometimes he does get odd personal info from guests, but usually there is some kind of context besides "so I was bored so my friend tattooed my boob." Whahuhuh? Maybe she was just nervous, but it was really odd. Also, in the future, Lena should wear shoes she knows how to walk in - looked like she could have wobbled and crashed any time.
@TVsCraigFerguson Hard to say - the heel's wicked high though.. I'd wobble the first time I wore them too, but I would've practiced a lot before going on a TV show.
Also, randomly - I love the "How long have you been in al Quaeda" comment line...
@Nzie "so I was bored so my friend tatooed my boob": If there had been context, it wouldn't have been funny. "Odd" is funny. And waaayyy more interesting than "comfortable".
I do't know I don't think it's hard for girls to have tattoos, it just should be a cool/pretty one =/ (boy or girl tattoo) and I just can't tell what hers is even supposed to be =/
@sweiland75 well, tiny furniture seems to be well received (she's been interviewed on npr, her film's showing at the ifc center in new york) and she's working with judd apatow. one of those two things probably got her invited.

Lena Dunham is my hero. To be so young, to have accomplished so much, and be seemingly so comfortable with the spotlight is astonishing.
