  • @allstaridiot8- Tim is not 5'11". i met him in person and he was the same height as me- 5'9''. but his card does say 5'11'' though haha

  • My son threw like Tim and his arm eventually fell off. I'm suing Tim for "armed robbery". LOL

  • Excellent pitcher. But, his windup is illegal, his right foot comes off the rubber before his left foot is planted! Ah well, who cares.

  • @BoxCarBoy12 There is no rule that mentions the back foot being on the rubber at anytime during the pitch other than at the beginning of the motion. Every pitcher with proper mechanics does this.

  • Anyone notice he walked the batter? lol

  • For such a great pitcher that he is, it's funny he doesn't look like a typical pitcher. I mean most pitchers are 6'3 or taller, it's not often you see a pitcher shorter then 6'3 or even 6'2, and Tim looks to be about my height 6'1

  • @xhemexx actually the funny thing is he's only 5'11"

  • @xhemexx he is 5'11"

  • Tim strictly strikes lincecum!!!

  • Let Timmy smoke!

  • BALK!

  • how far is that stride at 0:57

  • @TCUsouthpaw Every kid should learn how to throw with the same arm action as Tim, i do and i havent iced or even been slightly in pain in over 8 months. this is how to properly throw a baseball with maximum torque

  • This is not one of his best pitches mechanically, for several reasons, many having to do with his arm action. And in case you didn't notice he walk the guy. Great pitcher great mechanics, not his best right here.

  • Illegal how? If his delivery is "illegal" i guess every pitchers delivery is illegal. There is no way possible to keep your foot on the rubber. During the release point in the wind up.

  • Illegal how???

  • VIDEO RECORDED AND NARRATED BY.........

     DARTH VADER XD

  • Illegal pitch (the 1st slo mo), because when he released the ball, no foot is on the rubber, instead he is 7 ft closer to home plate. Note when his trailing foot is already off the rubber & he is about 7 feet closer to home plate, the ball is STILL in his HAND. That sure would give any pitcher an advantage but that's why it is not a legal pitch. Great pitcher. I'm just surprised noone caught that he is off the rubber, "illegal pitch" should be title of this video.

  • @WJArlington123 Almost every pitcher does this. Watch other videos of pitchers that through in the mid to upper 90s, they will all do that. His is very prominent because his stride is so long. It is not illegal because his foot was on the rubber when lifted his front leg.

  • @WJArlington123 As far as I know, MLB rules governing contanct with the pitching rubber are concerned with prior to the pitch being thrown, and whether the rubber is improperly disengaged (i.e., a balk). When it's part of a pitcher's natural motion, there's no rule saying their momentum can't carry them off the pitching rubber.

  • Is it a coincidence that Lincecum's delivery is similar to Sandy Koufax, one of the best pitchers in MLB history, and Juan Marichal, Hall of Fame pitcher for the Giants? How much starting pitching has changed: Lincecum: 2008 started 33 games, completed 2 2009 started 32, completed 4. Career: starts155, completed 9 Marichal: 1968: started 38, completed 30 1969: started 36, completed 27 Career: starts 457, completed 244 WTF? Marichal completed nearly 50% of his games! Marichal's best year
  • what do u meen tommy john. thats from throwing curveballs.

  • @matt980100 lol

  • for young pitchers i dont recomend trying to throw like this; can you spell tommy john?

  • @TCUsouthpaw Can you spell 2x Cy Young winner?

  • @TCUsouthpaw can you spell he's using his entire body to propel the ball, thus lessening the strain on his elbow?

  • @TCUsouthpaw why not? Timmy's pitched like this ever since he was 8.

  • its all in the hair

  • Pure Violence and Grace....All on one fluid motion.....

  • its all in the hair

  • i coach a H.S. and travel league team in S.Fla..just started coaching.turn down offer with rockies this season cause wife was preg..mark brownson n if iwas going to lie id def say someone better...i dont think theirs much in pivoting foot as long as your momentium is going toward the plate when you release the ball.what do you think it is?im always up for learning

  • @marshalloo22 yah, i totally agree with u there...i just found it a little weird tht u HAVE to pivot your foot. yes, so u outsmarted me there! ahahah congrats on ur 4-hit CG shutout. thats quit impressive. thx for the fun little "argument" lol. Thanks again

  • @marshalloo22 hi my name is cy young. no big deal

  • at the end, all that matters is following thru...not the whole hand in glove, and foot pivot stuff

  • @mcydees1 couldnt be more wrong bro..

  • @marshalloo22 please explain...i dont see ALL pitchers pivot their foot...and yah, the glove in hand thing is important - u have to be ready if the ball is commin at u....

  • @mcydees1 i shouldnt have said completly wrong but mechanics are like one bigelectrical board..if one or 2 wwires r unplugged if effects everything..check out cooper from the white sox vids on here..hes real good..i pitched in mlb and coach now but im still learning stuff every day

  • @marshalloo22 oh yah? whod ya play for? what team? when? ahahah i dont wanna seem like i dont believe u...i just wanna make sure...do u coach in the big leagues, or minor leagues? n yah, i agree with u...but i see plenty of guys with different follow-thru...whats the importance of pivoting ur foot in ur follow-thru?

  • @mcydees1 just wrote u a comment but forgot to hit reply
