Asian elephants just look more peaceful. But both elephants are good, they are amazing creatures. I used to be, and to a degree, still am interested in the woolly mammouth, it'd be interesting to see a mammouth. Too bad their extinct. I wouldn't want to be charged by one though.

Yes, I am interested in elephants - although my main interest is history. I once had a book about prehistoric animals, I believe there were quite a few. Mammoths were quite incredible, I think, the size of them must have been quite immense. Since history, British history in particular is interesting to me, Prehistory is also quite fascinating.

Why do they train Asian elephants, and not African ones? In India Asian elephants are used to ride and carry things. Asian elephants look quite quaint, all elepehants are peaceful unless provoked, but African ones have a more unpredctable appearance, you know not to mess with them. Asian's can charge too I know, but this one is peaceful.
