Muslim societies are doing better on not just moral grounds but also where laws are implemented properly. Number of rapes in US is perhaps at least 50 - 100 times more than in that in Saudi.
The number of REPORTED rapes may well be higher in westen countries, but that is because there is a good chance the woman will believed and the rapist convicted. Under Islamic law, rape can only be proven if the rapist confesses or if there are four male witnesses.

The Hadiths include such useful information as to having a wash when having sex with a free woman or a slave and about a father handing his son a slave woman to have sex with her. Also Tabari and Ishaq talk about the murder of the men of the last Jewish tribe in Arabia and the rape of Safiya. Sahih Bukhari describe Ayesha having to wash semen stains out of Mohammed's robes.

You are living in the USA, where womens rights are the law. If you lived in Iran, where the religious police will whip you for showing too much ankle, or in Sadi Arabia, where a woman is under death sentance for witchcraft for "making a man impotent", you might change your mind. Islam says that a woman must submit sexually when ever her husband demands, and there are many vids where imams advise the limitations for beating your wife, though apparently electrical wire is a prefered option.

Very nice if it was true, but everything we hear about women in muslim society is that they are second class citizens with few rights or equality. They are only "respected" if they stay in the house, give the husband food, sex, children and act like a servant. He only had one daughter and before every decision he made he would ask his wives and especially his daughter for their advice and what he should do before taking that decision. He would help them out in the kitchen and he would (when he had the time) do his own clothes. He even took his wives out to the battle field with him.

in this world people think we have no freedom people don't understand we choose to be muslim woman and to cover ourselves. I also youste wear no hijab, how stupid was i. When i started to wear it, and pray mine prays and leave the haram thinks etc i finally become happy. I can't imagine myself a live without allah to guide me. islam is the only religion who gives so much respect to woman.

You see only the "friendly" side of Islam. if you read the Hadiths and the biographies of Mohammed you would see what he thought of women. You follow a man who married a child of 9 and forced his adopted son-in-law to divorce his wife so he could marry her. Also he sent this man to fight a battle knowing he wouldn't win.

I have two Korans by the way and whichever one I read says the same silly things. The Hadiths include such useful information as to having a wash when having sex with a free woman or a slave and about a father handing his son a slave woman to have sex with her. Also Tabari and Ishaq talk about the murder of the men of the last Jewish tribe in Arabia and the rape of Safiya. Sahih Bukhari describe Ayesha having to wash semen stains out of Mohammed's robes.

You are living in the USA, where womens rights are the law. If you lived in Iran, where the religious police will whip you for showing too much ankle, or in Sadi Arabia, where a woman is under death sentance for witchcraft for "making a man impotent", you might change your mind. Islam says that a woman must submit sexually when ever her husband demands, and there are many vids where imams advise the limitations for beating your wife, though apparently electrical wire is a prefered option.

It is d west that has rather reduced the honour & dignity of women by advertising them as sex objects on tv,adverts,billboards etc.
Look at the western women.If i feel horny all i have to do is go to a club & i can take my pick.
U may think u have given women freedom but in reality u hav turned them into sex objects "every hole is a goal".
Alhamdu-lillah muslim women have respect & honout4themselves which is why they dont hav to walk around shownig their body2feel gud about themselves.

There is very little separation between religion and culture in muslim society. The people live their lives dominated by the laws of a 1500 year old book, and the treatment of women is evolved from passages in the koran.
Read "The bookseller of Kubul" to show how the man dominates a family.

Liberation of women movement made children fatherless. Men don't even like to get married now. Lesbianism is on the rise and so are violent crimes against women like rapes and beating in the house. So many sportsmen, showbiz men are accused of rapes everyday who are supposed to be role models...not to mention cheating on espouses!!

Very nice if it was true, but everything we hear about women in muslim society is that they are second class citizens with few rights or equality. They are only "respected" if they stay in the house, give the husband food, sex, children and act like a servant. If they step out of line, or have the misfortune to be raped, then the "respect" vanishes very quickly!!

I disagree with you strongly. im not married yet, but im a student and im respected by all male figures in my life (father, uncles, etc)..i know that i did not mention the status of the Muslim wife in this video, but that was only because of the timing. do not think that we are in any way oppressed. if u do find that, just know that it is not Islamic.

Men and women are born with respect and they have to guard it. Islam and many other religions tell them how to do it best. If they don't, they will naturally lose it. As for what you wrote isn't Islam. Also, don't confuse equality with similarity otherwise God himself created us unjustly. Did He? Anyways how do women get respect in your part of the world? Who is considered a dignified woman? Do most women fit those criteria all their lives even when they are in their youth? and Men?

you have been completely misinformed! Our Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) Respected women HIGHLY. He only had one daughter and before every decision he made he would ask his wives and especially his daughter for their advice and what he should do before taking that decision. He would help them out in the kitchen and he would (when he had the time) do his own clothes. He even took his wives out to the battle field with him.

@AfGsetara4 The wife in the West is not obliged to do so. Moreover, a wife can be raped by her husband there. They claimed that if he has sex with her against her will - this is rape! They consider this rape. They claim she must be willing. They claim that she must want it. There is disagreement in the West on this issue. Some do give the husband the right to do whatever he wants, but in many other cases they don't. Therefore, the wife doesn't submit to the man whenever he wants.

Anyone who does act with women in the way you have mentioned is not acting in an Islamic manner, but usually rather in a cultural manner.
