  • WTF type of music is dis..

But nah Pedro Martinez is a beast.

  • HORRIBLE MUSIC

  • Pedro Martinez, hall of fame class of 2015.

  • rock hard

  • @TheBrendanChannel ha the day an award is named after pedro is the day he is better then Cy young until then Cy young is king umm I wonder why at the end of a season a pitcher is awarded for pitching excellence called the Cy young award!!!!!

  • I like how they have the Satchel Paige thingy at the end, makes Pedro Martinez look like a LEGEND.

  • Where can I find more songs like this? This songs' AWESOME!

  • me and my friend grew up watching this guy on the mound for the bosox, putting up K cards in the living room every time he struck someone out, and imitating him in little league. man he brought me so much happiness as a child. go pedro and go sox

  • guy had so much swagger it's not even funny like swagger at all time maximum; no shit

  • baseballs aren't supposed to move like that. I think this dude's a wizard

  • Pedro probably should have won MVP in 99 and 00. Too bad two voters screwed him out of it in 99. Worst part? George King voted for David Wells and Rick freaking Helling in 1998. What a fucking clown.

  • By the way that peak...was at the height of the steroids era. Get outta town.

  • Pedro is the best pitcher ever and I won't field arguments. At his peak, there is no single guy ever who matched him. 95-96...ridiculous curve ball, and maybe the best circle change up of all time...and could command all 3... Pedro is the greatest. I'll take him in a game 7 in his prime against any one you want in their prime...and you'll lose.

  • I am so sad I just missed seeing this guy when he was real good. I started watching baseball in 05. But this dude had one of the sickest curves I've ever seen. Bummer I never saw him in his prime :/

  • Im a yanks fan but i love Pedro... guys a boss, possible Hall oF Famer

  • I wish that I understood why he was so good, but not as much as I wish that the Dodgers didn't trade him for pennies :( At least he got to own the Yankees for a long time.

  • i think at one time he was like 10-0 with an era under 1.00 against the mariners. I'm a mariners fan and everytime he pitched against us i knew it was gonna be a L, and that was when the M's were good too.

  • pedro martinez el pitcher dominicanO

  • Neftali feliz kind of looks like him...it'd be great of he can end up being a great starter like him too

  • @supermansrsx Feliz fastball is straight and his breaking ball is only a plus while Pedro had a true running fastball and both a plus curve AND an all-time best change-up. Feliz is hardly even the best closers in this generation, Pedro is one of the best starters ever who pitched in the best offensive environment in MLB (in a batter's park in the toughest division no less).

  • Love the punch out at 0:47

  • I remember watching Pedro pitch in the 99 All Star game on tv when I was 7 years old. He will always be my favorite player.

  • curveball was nasty

  • Pedro Martinez was the best pitcher of that era!!! And way better than cy young.

  • Martinez had a Koufaxian run in the late 90's, early 20's. Best pitcher of that era by far.

  • ....and if you DARED try to crowd the box, he would NAIL your ass!

  • with the fastball is LEGEND. This slight, unassuming, but fiercely confident pitcher also is one of the GENUINELY sincere and nice guys in the sport

  • Pedro stat for stat, pound for pound, year for year, is the most EFFICIENTLY dominant pitcher, AT LEAST of the last 20 years, probably in HISTORY. His wins, era, k's per 9, whip, etc..were CONSISTENTLY undermined by inconsistent run production(especially in Boston). He was a stud in a mega baseball city, and had filthy, disgusting command of 3 nasty pictures. The way he would humiliate and frustrate batters with that ridiculous movement on his curve ball and simmer before blowing them away with

  • At his peak best pitcher of all time arguably. 2000 best pitching season ever. He had the best WHIP of all time, and the best ERA+, and was also the first person to have more than twice as many K as hits allowed.

  • @soxpatsicecream70

He should have won the Cy Young the year Zito won it. Pedro's numbers were much better. And Pedro had a ERA below 3 for a long time, from 97-03.

  • @mark85la11 Agreed. He was better than Zito in every stat besides wins. They might have been tired of seeing Pedro win it. And the A's were a lot better than the Sox that year, although that shouldn't matter for Cy Young award.

  • @mark85la11 and he shoulda won the Cy the year Hallyday won it in 03

  • @soxpatsicecream70 I forgot how truly nasty he was

  • Pedro is one of the best pitchers ever

  • I think Pedro is always underrated. Better ERA and win% than randy johnson. Only member of the 3000K club with less than 3000 innings pitched. 3 Cy Young's AND the lowest career WHIP of anyone in the last 100 years. He was a beast.

  • @Elsim

Yeah, he should have had more Cy Youngs in my opinion, especially the year he lost to Barry Zito who had a higher ERA while Pedro had better numbers all around.

  • @mark85la11 I looked up Pedro's and Zito's 2002 seasons (the year Zito won the Cy Young) and my god did Pedro get robbed. The only stats Zito beats Pedro in is wins (most overrated stat in all of sports) and innings by 30 innings. Other than that Pedro crushes Zito in ERA, ERA+ K/9, BB/9, H/9, WHIP, HR/9, etc. What a joke.

  • haha at 0:48 look at the umpire, looks like hes about to take off for a sprint

  • i cant believe the dodgers traded this guy away. what a bunch of idiots, and im a dodger fan. in both his seasons with the dodgers he had a sub 3 ERA. granted he only pitched a few games the first season and the second season he was a reliever. he would have been a great addition to the long line of great dodger pitchers. oh well...

  • Yes, he is. He is the best pitcher all time like Barry Bonds in hitting! :P

  • in my opinion he is the most dominant pitcher in terms of his stat from the span of 97-03 season.

  • for me, it's between pedro and randy for greatest hurler of the last 20 years...you did have that legendary braves rotation in the 90s, but they were a rotation...the great thing about pedro is that given his weight, size and style...there's no way he could even be considered to be part of the steroid era...he was a pure talent...the only thing he had to do with it was that he could fan pretty much any juiced out roid head you put in the box

  • he had three dominant shut down pitches, he had a fastball that almost rose from his three quarter release point, sick control and movement with his curveball, and a circle change that the bottom would fall out of, I am willing to say he was probably THE GREATEST pitcher at the height of his career ever to pitch in the majors. So sick, if you look at his montreal years and early boston years stats, its fucking ridiculous, cant remember his ks per nine, but it was something like 14

  • Nicest man, amazing player

  • For about a 4 to 5 year span, he was arguably the best pitcher of all time

  • @whobeez03 Definitely agree with this.

  • Pretty weak given there is nothing from early in his career in Montreal. If it's meant to be complete, make it happen.

  • @MacOttawa

There isn't really any vids available from his Montreal days. I would have put them in there if I had any. Sorry.

  • @mark85la11 where do you get all these video's anyways?

  • @1993jsizzle

MLB.com has lots of videos that can downloaded with the right program.

  • @mark85la11 what program did you use to make your video?

  • @1993jsizzle

I used windows 7 movie maker to make the video, that was the easy part.

  • @mark85la11 That's weird because when I got my highlights off mlb.com Window's movie maker wouldnt let me put the highlights in the story board thing. It wouldn't take the highlights at all.

  • What did the K's meant?

  • @giampiero1225 Strike outs

  • @giampiero1225 K's mean strikeouts.

  • 2:38 funniest moment in mlb

  • I was just a kid when Pedro started playing for the Montreal Expos and he was my idol at the time, the young Pedro Martinez was a phenomenon. I may have lost my franchise but I will never forget the memories of him and Vladimir Guerrero.

  • @ironmaidenfan6666 He the best he has like 3000 strikeouts

  • 0:19 sickest changeup ive seen

  • Lmao 0:49 that umpire is funny

  • god he was so good and im a yankees fan....dont like that he played for the sox but ill be damned if i didnt say he was the best of the best....on a side note whats the name of this song?

  • @theFIFTHspade

At The Top is the name of the song.

  • Eat it Don Zimmer!!!

  • Love wen he took down that fat ass yankee dude lol hes a beast

  • omg the background music is phat

  • Nah, it's call competitive. You want to have the intimidation, the edge, everything against a hitter. Like how a hitter with be all over the plate leaning as close as possible. Pedro will not let that happen, he will throw at you if you do that.

  • Pedro Martinez was a great player, but i think his sportsmanship was terrible from my view.

  • 2:11 TOO DIRTY

  • Pedro was a very bad man... I freakin' love this video man. Outside of the 2004 season, watching this master in his prime in '99 and '00 were my favorite memories growing up as a Sox fan. In his prime, he could be argued as the best ever.

  • 0:41 batter "oh no! You broke my nail! GET BACK HERE B*TCH!"

  • Nice vid .....

  • not baseball music otherwise great video.
