Harley-Davidson 2009 FLHX Street Glide road test: Looker for the long haul

I have an 08 Ultra Classic that I have Street Glided a bit...meaning put on the cooler shorter windshield and a few other things...I am only 5' 9" and get wind so bad in the face my sunglasses will barely stay on. I picked up the Klockwerks and it helped a little...should have bought the taller one. I don't know if its true..but heard the way wind flows over the lowers can add wind problems.. Any suggestions from Street Glide owners would be welcomed.

I just came back from laughlin all the way from the bay area,that was a nice ride,I have the same exact bike shown down to the color,but the wind was a major factor.I rode my friends road glide for 2 hours and there is a big difference.The road glide handles so much better on long hauls.

a taller windshield will solve that problem.

I'm 6-1 and use a 10" windshield. The short ones that come stock may look cool, but they aren't very practical. Klockwerks makes a nice windshield that diverts the air around the rider instead of into your helmet.

I seen that windshield at laughlin and got some add slicks,Im going to look into one of those.Thanks for the reply.

I've heard the Road Glide rides like a dream. I just can't get by the 2-headlight thing. I guess I'm more of a traditionalist in that way.
