This was amazing the first time I put in Live at the Bowl disc 2!!! I was blown away and wanted to see this entire concert!!!! But thats just the thing with Queen, your first initial experience is mind blowing and you just want more and more and more of the them, and it just keeps getting better and better!!
I started to listen to Queen in '93, I never stop it. In the '99 years I discovered Hot space and I remember that I couldn't stop playing the main riff of Put ou the fire, one my favorite Queen songs. I like this underrated period
My old Grandad always said "fight fire with fire".He was unsuccessful in his lifelong ambition to become a fireman with the emergency services.Love this song so much,Queen forever.
Well, at first I thought that this album sucked so bad that it shouldn't have been released! What a fool I was:D In fact it is amazing! Very specific though...
@GinnyWeasley94 hmmm a guy lecturing everyone about having guns while at the same time he's killing himself and others with his perverted sex practices.
great singer and band but divorced from reality. like MJ.
A guy lecturing everyone about having guns while killing others and himself IS funny. Yet, it's funnier to learn that Freddie fucked more girls than you ever will
@nerdflanders8710, "English" is spelled with a capital E, and "doesn't" works with an apostrophe(') ,not a semicolon (;). Other than that, agreed 100 %. P.S. What's Malaca?
@nerdflanders8710 Great news for you: Brünn quarry offer wagon of bible size aggregates for price of 1000$ per wagon. Great for throwing on gays, bi etc.
>If you don't know Family Guy you can not understand to innuendo with acid blood. It's in one of later series, I think episode with movement of sexual abstention.
>I think you don't read between lines because there is another innuendo, this time on The Old Testament.
>Huuu, have a fear, HAVE A FEAR. Doomsday comes early. Inpatient will be doomed, DOOMED.
PR doesnt come CLOSE to this Amazing performer...sorry...I prefer my old records and videos with Freddie than watchin PR try to sing Queen hits ! my opinion =]
paul rogers was great iwas there 13/10/08 at the O2 arena he was sooo great no Freddie but that was the point they got paul because he was not going to try and emulate Freddie wich is why i am glad that they didn't go on tour with george micheal because he would be too much like Freddie
Not a bad song but it sounds a bit crappy with that synth drumming. I don't like when they are trying to re-create synth sound live, the synth sounds "translated" to "live" instruments works the best with Queen songs.
It fits the style of Hot Space but Hot Space style doesn't fit Queen's LIVE style. That's why I don't like 82-86 period, when synths end ESPECIALLY awful synth drum kits were brought in. It is OK on the album, but live it sounds crappy. But, of course, it's all matter of taste. I prefer Queen up to '81, with no synths, and Freddie doing all piano parts, someone else can think otherwise.
I don't agree, I thought the Hot Space-songs was terrible at first. We can take Action This Day for an example, it sounds very soul-less on the album and none-Queenish, but live it got that Queen-sound, and WOW - a fantastic song!
But Put Out the Fire sounda very 'Queen' on the album too, so I don't think the live version is that special. And Freddie's vocals are at their best in this performance...
That's exactly what I said! "Action This Day" is average at most on record, but live (when they replaced drum machine with real drums and synths with guitar) it is terrific. Same with "Staying Power". I agree that "Put Out The Fire" is perhaps the most 'Queenish' song on "Hot Space", but LIVE it sounds more 'synthetic' than any of the above mentioned songs. Just due to that annoying synth-drum-splash at the end of every beat. If they would leave out JUST that, it would be OK.
yeah, a lot of people give this album a lot of crap because this wasn't a traditional rock album, which it wasn't. it was just a fun album, a really fun album. no other way t describe it really.
Queen were the only ones who had the guts to explore such a diverse array of music genres that other bands would never have dreamed of doing. Good on them, it makes their music timeless and not two of their songs sound the same, its great :)
ive been listening to them for a while and i love queen but i never really listened to hot space or gave it 2 much bother cuz of all the bad reviews i read about it but this song blew me the fuck away!
i never knew they played this live :D
