@Nakor420ish SOME providers have a meter. I have Eastlinks 20 Megabit internet (2.5 megabytes per second, and I get those speeds), there's no cap at all. I download 250-500 gigs some months, no issues. They DO put a 250 gig cap on their 40 Megabit internet (5mb/s speeds). So, if you live in the Maritimes (nova scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, etc... you don't have to have a meter. But in most other places they have really awful caps and they throttle internet speed. I've not seen my internet throttld
I live in the middle of nowhere America and I pay 30 dollars a month for 10 Mb dwn and 500kb up...I used to have to use an antenna from a grain elevator but they pretty much have broadband everywhere now. He you guys know if you live within ten miles from someone on the U.S. site you can rebroadcast that signal with an antenna and receiver to your location and get free good broadband.
(maybe toronto too)! 28$ a month = unlimited bandwidth, 5 Mb/Second (NOT MEGABYTE), faster than Bell (Bell THROTTLES THE HELL OUT OF P2P) I have used it for a few years.
You gonna pay more if you use more internet in Canada? :O
I don't really understood all the video (i am french), but in France we pay 30€/month for adsl 20 M, and 40€ for optical fiber. Everybody come in France :p
First off, Where have you been? Make more videos. :) Second, I'm livid over the CRTC. Canada is rated 28th out of 30 in north america in internet speed. I read this in the Province. I'm ready for war.
I always thought Canada was one of the most liberal countries in a lot of things (like weed LOL), but this sounds shitty. Good luck with fucking the kings... ;D
P.S.: You're sxy and I'd love to be your slave. ^^
that's exactly what I've been dealing with the past few months! one time it was like over a $120 bucks for ONE month which is ridiculous..I will be signing that for sure!
@siuchai SIGN AND JOIN THE RALLY!!! It'll be a ton of fun anyway. We did a super job at the first rally on feb 4th. Only a little bit away from taking the meter away!
@Open2Fusion You didn't describe the problem accurately in this video. You even say "I don't want to pay more for the internet". Unlimited bandwidth plans would cost more than limited ones (as long as you don't go over). The issue is that user's should have the choice to choose between unlimited and limited plans, and pay accordingly.
Also, Shaw (and apparently Telus) and local (provincial) ISPs are big players in internet service as well. Personally where I live it's between Shaw and local.
welcome to australia >:D
