Nice review. Correction though. When you said "motion control" you made a mistake. You meant using its pointer sensing thingy. It does use motion control to throw stuff. You use the stick to aim and use "motion" to throw by flinging the wiimote. A reasonable design choice, as you cant have both. although I do agree with you.

@kNIGHTWING01 This one of your most entertaining/informative reviews & its one of my Favorites, Tenchu 2 was one of the first games I got for the PSone & along with ff7, Grand Turismo 1 are among my favorites to replay (often) in my game collection.

- after first watching this review(feb/09) I was excited for game that wasn't on the 360 that had clever controls& challenging story.

-I bought this game in >09 it was 1 of only 9 hard (wii disk) games to come to the Wii in the 15 months after SSBB.

Sigh... I played this game and it was horrible...this game is an insult to the rest of its series.....I mean really wtf....they went back to the old formula?! really?! Looks to me like they put the original game's stealth mechanic into a shitty red steel mini-game compilation. I mean honestly, where are the open brawl style fights? I mean come on...the dang sword fights are so boring i could fall asleep...This is a terrible game and Acquire should be ashamed for making it.

I only bought this game yesterday, but i do really enjoy it. Even if i do get caught like constantly xD

I also don't like the whole items thing. Its really irritating when you have to drop things to pick up another. I don't like how the swords just seem to vanish when you open locks on doors or after so many fights. It's a sword! It's not just going to vanish! Anyhow i found this review interesting and i cant wait for the 5th game! :D

If anything, rent this game. It has too many problems for my tastes. If you can, get the better stealth games like mgs and splinter cell. And if you cant, well, this will give you a few days or weeks of fun time.

I think it is a realy good game although... it feels a bit dated. I dont mind that Rikimaru and Ayame dont run along walls and such, but you stear them as in a Third-person shooter kind of like RE4/5.

Pluss it feels a bit to linniear, because sometime, you have little options on how you want to get from point A to B. That beeing said, it is ok, fun game and Kwing I love youre reviews and just know that the next ones will be worth waiting for ^^.

like everyone else, i have to agree with this review. when i first heard about it, i wasn't too sure because i only heard about it in an edition of Nintendo Power. i went ahead and bought it anyway, and I do not regret it. the game is made of pure win, and basically everything that KWING says is true. Yeh I pretty much agree with your review. The game is really cool, and a blast to play. The stealth kill animations would probably be my favorite part; they're insane. Don't listen to the big-name reviewers, pick this game up!

i gotta say, at first i was skeptical about this new tenchu game...i was looking for a stealth game to get for either the Wii or PS2, and i stumbled upon the Tenchu name, with Ninjas in feudal japan...seeing the combat in this one made me think about trying Wrath of Heaven before since i hate first person mix-ups and rail-ons that are comming out on the wii, but upon seeing this review, i may give this game a try...excelent review man!

No, the gamecube had waaaaaay better graphics than the gamecube. Just take resident evil 4 for example. The ps2 one had extras but it looks like shit compared to the gamecube one. Take games like metroid prime, wind waker and twilight princess and see if the ps2 can handle them haha

No, your wrong, because EVERYONE misses a shot at some point, regardless of what they use to aim with. I have missed shots in other games like Zelda using the control stick to aim, and I have missed shots using the mouse in some games as well. Don't Come to me with this, "if you never missed" BS. It's called human error. Oh, and just so you know, I do have better aim with the pointer then I do with a control stick, but that doesn't mean my aim is always going to be perfect.l

Again, it's NOT motion aiming, it's IR aiming, IR IR IR!!!!!! Motion control and IR are SEPARATE things! The IR sensor is used through the pointer and sensor bar, motion control is just the movement of the controler, which the Wii will detect even without the use of the sensor bar.

Sorry if I'm going of on a tangent here, but it seems that EVERYONE gets that wrong, just thought I'd enlighten some of you.

Just wanted to point something out, the wiimote is the one that senses the sensor bar, not the sensor bar itself. In fact if you light up a # of candles (i dont remember how many) and put them in a row, they work as a sensor bar.

I have an explanation for the lack of motion controls for projectile weapons. If you've played Twilight Princess, I am sure you might have missed a shot or two with Link's bow and such, since you have to line it up perfectly, since, nobody's hand is PERFECTLY steady. Personally, at one point in Twilight Princess, I actually turned motion controls off for aiming, in favor of using the joystick, since it made for a more precise shot.
