Not such a difficult trick to work out the (or at least *a* potentially workable) method to, but as always Derren is the closest thing card magic has to poetry. And this is the repertoire he doesn't need to keep secret any more. Wow.

When he pulls up his sleeves you see him hiding the deck in his jacket and leaving one card in his hand. He makes this one card disappear by palming it in his hand and brings it back by just letting go of it. Figured it out so far.

He is simply the best entertainer around, even in a simple card trick, he weaves a clever story into it and makes the performance that much enjoyable to watch, can't wait to see his new show in March!!

@pixie631 not everything is an NLP trick. NLP ppl are like UFO nuts who every time they see anything at all in the sky they call UFO on it. NLP is also largely ineffective. The parts of it that can be useful can be found elsewhere, without all the associated NLP smugness and rigidity. You all seem to act like you're the only ones in on the"secret" and the whole thing turns you into obnoxious people. Not to mention that him appearing beautiful to the lady is completely unnecessary to the trick.

Derren is gay, but I really don't think he'd come out by this point, he looks young and hasn't died his hair for years. plus little boys often like girls at school, whether they turn out to be gay or not. and i am rather jealous of the girl in this. i want to kiss him!

@YuneShik if you read his new book, in it he mentions stuff from early on in life and mentions a Crush who he doesnt give the name for but the page before he uses the same person and calls them HE. that was back in primary school, so it was from quite a young age.
