there's something in this song that possessed me...i literally could not stop moving my body to the rhythm through the entire video. i think its my roots.
i happen to know taylor. he is not white, he is mixed. and he is an excellent teacher who i have studied under. so dont be rude and judge people before you even meet him.
The "white" guy is a direct student of Mamady Keita and travels to Africa, and he is AWESOME, teacher and person, so shut the hell up. Taylor, I love your dvd's I still benefit from "remembering how to drum" I highly reccomend to all! Asante'sana Namaste'
This is not a set ensemble - Mahiri Fadjimba-Keita and I conceived the project and asked Menes Yahuda to join us - so the ensemble was for this project only, although we plan on doing "sequels" with different rhythms. Thanks for the good vibes!
What group is this? Is that Sekou Soumeh in the middle? As far as the "white guy" comments, I know that anyone who brings up shit like that has no exposure to the music or any idea what the hell they are talking about.
Mahiri and I had the idea for the video and invited our dear friend Menes to complete the picture (there will be sequels with different material). So, this is not an offical group to answer your question.......taylor
last time i looked sound dont have a color. This my freind is a very good sound and beat performed by some very talented drummers. It was very nice to watch and hear. PEACE.
i think the beats are really good. Why there is always some idiot commenting on races and color? Isnt there school in their country to teach them about racist?
look how the drum is crying it is very nice i love african rhythm . taylor is a friend of my lovely father in ghana hope tosee you soon

I love this piece. The rythm though sounds more like Gidamba than soli. Keep up the good work.
