  • i happen to know taylor. he is not white, he is mixed. and he is an excellent teacher who i have studied under. so dont be rude and judge people before you even meet him.

  • Cool!

  • HAAaaaa....dont make me laff mon

  • I love this piece. The rythm though sounds more like Gidamba than soli. Keep up the good work.

  • The "white" guy is a direct student of Mamady Keita and travels to Africa, and he is AWESOME, teacher and person, so shut the hell up. Taylor, I love your dvd's I still benefit from "remembering how to drum" I highly reccomend to all! Asante'sana Namaste'

  • great!! do you have more of this?? Who are they?? Do they have a Cd?

  • This is not a set ensemble - Mahiri Fadjimba-Keita and I conceived the project and asked Menes Yahuda to join us - so the ensemble was for this project only, although we plan on doing "sequels" with different rhythms. Thanks for the good vibes!

  • Oh, I just met Taylor at a drum/dance thing in Indiana. He's a great guy and a killin' drummer!

  • What group is this? Is that Sekou Soumeh in the middle? As far as the "white guy" comments, I know that anyone who brings up shit like that has no exposure to the music or any idea what the hell they are talking about.

  • Mahiri and I had the idea for the video and invited our dear friend Menes to complete the picture (there will be sequels with different material). So, this is not an offical group to answer your question.......taylor

  • Mahiri Keita-Edwards is the soloist.....

  • last time i looked sound dont have a color. This my freind is a very good sound and beat performed by some very talented drummers. It was very nice to watch and hear. PEACE.

  • i think the beats are really good. Why there is always some idiot commenting on races and color? Isnt there school in their country to teach them about racist?

  • Really nice drumming! Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Iko Iko! I could dance to that all day long!

  • gsheba - do you have something against people who are of European descent? Check yourself.
