Rat snakes in your attic is nothing to worry about. They eat rodents and birds, and if given the choice, I'd much rather have the snake. Snakes are cool! @visnevskiscom It can climb the brick walls by expanding it's body to the Mortar between the bricks to support itself as it climbs up the wall. It took about 5 or 6 mins. to climb the wall.

@visnevskiscom It's probably a tree snake. I imagine the brick and mortar is probably similar to climb as the bark on many trees.
