  • Just bought this album on ebay for $9.00 and there are a couple of more on there if anyone is interested.

  • This song puts me into a state of mind that cannot be explained. Just frickin amazing.....

  • I wish Atlanta would get back together....they are too classy of a group and way TOO AWESOME to just go by the wayside. I would definitely go see them!!!!

  • I saw this group in the 80's at the Thurston County Fair in S. Sioux City, NE and they were AWESOME!!!!! I couldn't believe how GREAT AND PROFESSIONAL they looked and sounded. I had bought their album and of course, it was my favorite. Loved these guys. I wish their music would be released so we and others may enjoy it again. They were too AWESOME TO LET THEIR MUSIC DIE!!!!!

  • If you type in Sweet Country Music on iTunes and then click on Atlanta, you can download it along with Pictures, Good Time Chariot, and Can't You Hear.

  • Great song.

  • This is the 1st time in decades I've heard this song. I grew up hearing it on the radio in the '80s.

  • I actually have this song on a 45. I had to search hard for it but found it in a record shop that was full of em up in Superior, WI.

  • I haven't heard this son in YEARS!! LOVE IT!!

  • I had this record back in the day and have been trying to find it and I can't! Can't find any mention of the title song "pictures" and that was my favorite. Does anyone know where to find this?

  • @brandieleec Check my favorites and you'll find it... ^_^

  • I was always a big fan of these guys when I was younger and loved their stuff!! I searched and searched and finally found both there albums online from a vintage record store. I have since converted them to DVD's with todays new technology and they are played often. My wife and I even had the song "Pictures" played at our wedding for our first dance 2 years ago!!!

  • great country band of the 80s

  • Love the band but this song sounds exactly the same as Alabama's "Mountain Music" WOW

  • *Calls 911*

    911 what is your emergency?

Yes I'd like to report a rape!

    Who got raped?

    The Replay button!

  • They both had the same producer and promoter its not always the group its depends on who pushes who the most.thats why country radio sucks right now so many good bands out there right now.this is more southren rock than country.

  • Yes, great stuff, thanks for the reply

  • I remember hearing this on the radio in the '80s? Well anyway I would stop in my tracks to listen. I'm not big on Country but this has to be the best.

  • @stacase To me, this song has always been like an anthem of Country Music.

  • I still have the original cassette from 1984...its priceless to me.

  • @NRFD414 Oh, how I envy you... ^_^ I want to get the other songs from this album but cant find any cd's or places to download them...

  • @NRFD414 I have it also and it is priceless to me..Tony Ingram was a friend of mine... miss him

  • @bounddrummer your an idiot.

  • This group was good, unfortunately, no one could compete with Alabama.

  • alabama dididnt have 30 members, in their band , so in 1984, they were threatnded a bit

  • Is this the blatant rip off of Alabama or what? How did they not get sued for infringement? It's like they listened to Mountain Music and ripped off everything it. Right down to the tempo change at the end with the same fiddle play. Fucking lame.

  • @bounddrummer I am related to one of the original members that just pasted away last year. They were the best, beside Alabama. The only reason they did not beat Alabama is because, there Producer was the same Producer for Alabama. This said person, pushed selling Alabama more. Only reason they were not as famous as Alabama. As for the Infringement, the person that owns Alabama's records, owns Atlanta's.

  • @NRFD414 - Thanks for the insight. Sorry about your loss last year.

  • see atlanta-band.blogspot.com

  • Probably the best country band you've never heard of xD

  • It is to bad that music has gotten away from this, Atlanta was good old music.

  • i love 1:35 thru 1:58

  • i grew up on this kinda music loved it and still love listening to it today

  • Hit #5 in Billboard, 4-21-84. God bless!

  • please see the ATLANTA on TV video too

  • now this is country music

  • This was my favorite band back in their hayday. People think I'm crazy when I bring them up. They think I'm making it up. Thank you for posting and proving them wrong!

  • Love it!

  • I have this album and the second that they released.

  • I heard this song on the radio as well.

The DJ said that they were supposed to be a copycat band of Alabama...

  • @ethen24 You're right. Even Rick Jackson, on his 'Country hall of fame' show, said they were an Alabama clone. Maybe, but, this song still sounded great. God bless!

  • almost forgot this this song existed till I heard it on the radio today. The sound reminds me of NGDB mixed with Alabama

  • I heard this song on the radio today. I totally forgot about it. It's a great song for sure! I wish there was more bands like this. Too bad country has changed so much.

  • When this was on top in the '80s I used to stop in my tracks to listen.

  • really good song.

  • my kind of music not to fast yet not to slow

  • Thank you for posting this I love it
