It's called Term Limits. I believe that once the heart starts beating (Week 5) and or brain function begins, it is a life and the limit has been met. Any time before that, abortion should be in play. I love Ron, but personal choice means the choice to get an abortion...just saying. Sure, if he "softened" his viewpoints for the sake of electability, he'd be letting down his philosophy of consistency...but in all honesty, if he's elected he needs to listen to what the American people want. I realize he intends to do this by allowing states to decide much of what the federal government currently decides, but for someone who believes in personal liberty...abortions should be included in that.
@The3rdPlateau Plus, in all honesty, abortions (just like drugs) should be legal because of personal liberty first and foremost, yes...but they (also just like drugs) should also be legal for practicality; if people can't get them in a medically-sanctioned way, they'll get them with coat hangers (or from criminal drug dealers/cartels). Furthermore, I do hate to say it, but abortion does help deal with our overpopulation problem.

Yes, they are extremists, but Ron is also somewhat of an extremist himself, just in different ways. I realize admitting this doesn't market him well, but if he were to be truthful...it's not bad to be extreme on some issues, esp. those about which the masses are uninformed (hence them being extreme positions)
@The3rdPlateau ...and he sort of suffers from the traditional conservative viewpoint that if an institution is corrupt, just abolish it...like, if it's REALLY corrupt then yeah, get rid of it (so things like the Fed, the IRS, and I'd argue the DEA)...but if it's just a bit dysfunctional or overly bureaucratic (Energy, Commerce, Education, etc), there are ways of solving said problems without just abolishing the institution altogether...

It's even worse than that. In partial-birth abortion, the baby is full-term, completely past the tightest parts of the womb, so no further damage can be done to the woman, and is completely born except for about an inch of its head (it's turned around beforehand), and is held in place by doctors, moving around and all, and they literally sever its spinal column and suck the brain out. It's murder, and yet completely legal. This is why the pro-life movement fights so strongly.

It's called Term Limits. I believe that once the heart starts beating (Week 5) and or brain function begins, it is a life and the limit has been met. Any time before that, abortion should be in play. I love Ron, but personal choice means the choice to get an abortion...just saying. Sure, if he "softened" his viewpoints for the sake of electability, he'd be letting down his philosophy of consistency...but in all honesty, if he's elected he needs to listen to what the American people want. I realize he intends to do this by allowing states to decide much of what the federal government currently decides, but for someone who believes in personal liberty...abortions should be included in that.

@The3rdPlateau Plus, in all honesty, abortions (just like drugs) should be legal because of personal liberty first and foremost, yes...but they (also just like drugs) should also be legal for practicality; if people can't get them in a medically-sanctioned way, they'll get them with coat hangers (or from criminal drug dealers/cartels). Furthermore, I do hate to say it, but abortion does help deal with our overpopulation problem.

@The3rdPlateau He makes a good point when Piers summarizes Ron's positions as "extreme" and Ron talks about how the people who are in charge as it is are the real extremists. Yes, they are extremists, but Ron is also somewhat of an extremist himself, just in different ways. I realize admitting this doesn't market him well, but if he were to be truthful...it's not bad to be extreme on some issues, esp. those about which the masses are uninformed (hence them being extreme positions)

@The3rdPlateau ...and he sort of suffers from the traditional conservative viewpoint that if an institution is corrupt, just abolish it...like, if it's REALLY corrupt then yeah, get rid of it (so things like the Fed, the IRS, and I'd argue the DEA)...but if it's just a bit dysfunctional or overly bureaucratic (Energy, Commerce, Education, etc), there are ways of solving said problems without just abolishing the institution altogether...

That basically means with a coat hanger, and it also means the mother could die in the process. This is so easy, you wouldn't believe it. Conservatives, Liberals, Libertarians, and independents are going to vote in the primaries and caucuses. You don't even have to be Republican in most States. Bluerepublican dt org has all the info and links. go there now. So few Republicans go to the caucus or primary, it would take only ten or fifteen extra Ron Paul votes at the voting sites to send Ron Paul delegates to the State Conventions. In partial-birth abortion, the baby is full-term, completely past the tightest parts of the womb, so no further damage can be done to the woman, and is completely born except for about an inch of its head (it's turned around beforehand), and is held in place by doctors, moving around and all, and they literally sever its spinal column and suck the brain out. It's murder, and yet completely legal. This is why the pro-life movement fights so strongly.

This might make a difference: it's not like the women are told explicitly what will happen (but they would in any OTHER procedure of this magnitude, go figure) but the doctors know, and have no excuse. There used to be about 20,000 of these a year ... but according to Wikipedia there has recently been a ban. I had heard about an *attempted* ban, but not one that had been successful. I need to check on that. God I hope it's true though. We need to ban *all* late-term abortions.

He stays standing strong through the constant amount of people pushing him down. WTF Ron Paul never said he would legalize Heroin where do people keep getting this? I have seen the debate where this was first an issue and he made it clear that he would make it to where there wasn't so many federal regulations and it would be a state issue, which no one would legalize.

Fraud is suppose to be enforced by our Judiciary branch. Also on top of removing the regs he also want's to remove all these corporate loopholes and tax breaks. I'd say if you want to remove the mother of all frauds, lets amend the constitution removing the part that defines corporations as a person, that would strip them of they're unbelievable power and hold people accountable for they're actions. Also the IRS works mainly for the FED making sure they get paid, so the gov can keep borrowing.

Ron Paul you make my senses. I been in u.s for 17 years as a refugee because my people fought for the u.s army during the Vietnam war and never became a u.s citizen. But because Ron, I will get my citizenship and vote for him if he get to the presidential race. I wish him luck, he's the only candidate that actually makes sense in reality today.

I tire of SINGLE ISSUE VOTERS who dig in & oppose candidates for 1 thing, & continue to beat it into the ground while the larger scope of ideas get missed or at least minimized or ignored.
So far Mr. Paul seems to be the most anti-good ole boys club in Washington.
I'm still undecided on who I will support but I'm listening to my options & Mr. Paul sure makes a strong bid.

Be sure you register as a REPUB. There are about 20 states where U cant vote Ron Paul in the critical primary if you are a registered Dem. SO many loopholes by state with this - I know Ron Paul has many young voters /party crossover supporters who may not know this . Let's not get cheated out of our votes and let's not allow Ron Paul to be cheated out of the election . U can always change back after he wins if U want . Pass it on .
