@Vlayko991 You're welcome. It's been years since I've played Tekken 2, but if I recall correctly, you need to beat Devil with only a little of your health left; you have to win with a "great". Sometimes, if you're lucky, Roger/Alex show up in the selection screen randomly. That happened to me a few times.

Why can't Tekken have a serious storyline anymore?! Tekken 2 had a brilliant storyline, great characters, menacing bosses (Kazuya and devil) and out of this world soundtrack. Nowadays tekken is just juggle, juggle, juggle ... I still love Tekken but, sadly, it doesn't have the same feel or dark aura :/

@GroggyWantsToFly I feel you dude. I used to be a Tekken fan before a Virtua Fighter fan, but Tekken became much too one-sided. As you said, with juggles all day. Then it became the same way with Dead or Alive, all about the counters/reversals. To me, Virtua Fighter is probably the most complete fighter out, and the most underrated, sadly the last one comes out this year and Sega's chosen to pull the plug on it.

@GroggyWantsToFly the problem is,that too many players are using only juggles...I use reversals,parrys and try to punish the opponent to have an excellent fight...sadly,there are only jugglers online...

@awokai aint no problem with juggling. it gives the gameplay in tekken even more depth, since players that actually know the movelist of their characters can perform extensive and creative combos. i honestly think its a good addition. it might be frustrating sometimes, but its a great addition.

@awokai yea it seems like all people do are launchers and than they start juggling. they need to make it so that juggles dont do as much damage, while you're in the air atleast, but normal attacks that hit direct on where the opponent isnt aerial do some serious damage. that would stop all these kids from juggling like crazy. I hear that they have this in Tekken Tag 2, juggles dont do much damage there unless its an unblockable or charge attack

@GroggyWantsToFly dude Tekken 4 had an amazing storyline as well. It all started going downhill with Tekken 5. They made all the characters have comedy endings and shit. i miss the older more serious tekken too. I think Namco got discouraged since people always state that story doesnt matter in a fighting game. we can thank street fighter for that. i can only pray that they bring back the story in tekken 7, although i think its hopeless :(

Tekken 5 is pretty fun but it's not what I had in mind as a Tekken game. It's as if Namco surrendered to the bland mainstream of today.

@GroggyWantsToFly Tekken 4 IMO was one of the best tekken games, because it actually felt like you were in a tournament. You fight on ordinary realistic stages, that leads up to that epic confrontation with Heihachi in the arena. it was too epic! Tekken 5 is great, and to me, its the Tekken 3 of the later Tekken games (after Tag Tournament). It didnt have too great of a story(although i think the main quest was interesting), but it had great improved gameplay and had a diverse list of characters

I only played this game once, and everything left a profound effect on me. The music is no exception.

It made me keep an eye out for every Tekken to come...and sadly only Tekken 3 has had a similar effect on me.

I agree completely. TBH I think Tekken 4 held some of the old roots of Tekken 2&3. I liked the atmosphere of the stages, the music and the background details on each fighter. Shame it got heavily criticised for the dramatic change in gameplay.

i remember when i turned 7 i got this game for my birthday and it was the best game ive ever played in my life.. i would play the aracade story mode, and i would tripp out because i would see new characters i never had in the game, and i would have to win to unlock the other fighters. i liked how we would have to beat kazuya at the end, he was the hardest one.. oh and i use to beat everyones ass in this game. Tekken 2 was one of my first games~ Played it for hours when I was 5. Even then, I could tell the emotion of the music. Tekken doesn't feel the same anymore really. Tekken 2 is my favourite of the series. I was young, but the nostaliga and memories playing it with my friends and family will never leave me. Call me lame, but listening to this quality tune makes me want to cry and go back to my childhood. I miss you 90's <3
