  • The start of a new retro game show a friend and I are starting. Help us out please. We start the seris by playing The Firemen.

    /watch?v=HoCVp3ryHWs&feature=channel_video_title

  • This game always put me in the atmosphere

  • this game makes me thirsty

  • the year is 2011

  • Man, I fucking loved this game! :)

    VC, earn your salt goddamnit!

  • @wolfmweh It's coming out on Japan's VC next month.

  • @superfroman

Fuck yeah! hopefully the EU one wont be far behind :D

  • I wouldn't be surprised if this actually happened on christmas day.

  • I didn't notice anything that explains why you guys' think this game is an "Accurate portrayal of the future."

  • An endless supply of fire retardant... AMAZING!

  • This looks like a fireman version of Smash TV.

  • @Throsor Yes, but this game has a better looking HUD and it is made by the Japanese.

  • Shit, even our technology isn't this futuristic.

  • what if there was a fireman mmo

  • No fair. I had to beat this whole game in Japanese. D:

  • Das Spiel hatte ich auch, war cool, aber ich glaube auch recht einfach

  • Finally, a game set in an accurate portrayal of the future, which is now the present!

  • Jesus, it's like this game predicted the future...

  • The year is 2010,

And finally I get this game! (please note: I haven't progressed much in the last twenty years either, so don't feel guilty)

  • the year is 2010.

civilization has progressed little in the last 20 years.

  • @filipemtx Most accurate vision of the "future" yet.

  • @filipemtx Very prophetic XD

  • @filipemtx

    prophetic genius game designers

  • @filipemtx At least one game finally got "the future" right.

  • ha ha ha we live in Nintendo future

  • Now's 2010, lol

  • EXCELLENT game.

  • I love how it's 2009 and not a whole lot has changed since this game was made. Firefighters don't go carrying sweet water cannons on their arms.

  • i love how the type on the storyline is hyphenated and cuts off half the words to the next line. that would never happen today

  • @kiensmf I agree. So do I.

  • Looks like it would be easy to make on Game Maker

  • Comment removed

  • @HyperFoxIII I agree. I especially like how they designed the HUD in this game.

  • awesom game i was looking for it like 2 years and i finally rmber the name

  • Watch Daft Punk-Burnin'!! resembles this game.

  • As a kid, I played the hell out of The Ignition Factor. It's a pretty decent game, but going back to it nowadays, you tend to notice all the minor flaws and oversights you were able to gloss over as a kid. This game looks a little bit simpler, so I figure it'll be a fine alternative.

I kinda wonder why there aren't more firefighter simulations/games out there. I imagine with this current generation's graphics capability, you would be able to realize some truly incredible scenarios.

  • I played this game when I was...I don't know, about 6 or 7 years old. I barely remember the game, I just know that I loved it.

Seriously, now that I've seen this I gotta play the game again sometime.

  • Incredibly unique. Not really fighting some evil force but natural disasters. That's awesome.

  • well... Natural disaters kinda..

    The bosses were robots.

I think the message is that if we build highly advanced robots, keep them away from fire or firemen will have deadly battles to the death with them. Then again, I'm guessing this game was originally Japanese, so, that really isn't that surprising.

  • im downloading it now!

  • I remember this game, and loved it, one of the most under-rated games for the SNES

  • You are right ShiryuGL There Is also The Ignation Factor For the SNES A very fine and fun game.
