A lot of people are becoming unemployed in America, not by choice but because the economy itself is going down the tubes. I do agree with Judge Judy, but at the same time nowadays it's not easy to get a job just anywhere. You have to search and search and search. It took me 2 years of submitting applications before I finally found a job. 2 YEARS!! How crazy is that? And I submitted a lot of applications, believe me. It's just barely anyone is hiring.

I ve been on and off work and I was also unemployed in 2009, but ive never been off work for longer than 6 months. it would of been 4months but thats only because I wanted a 2 month holiday. and maybe if he actually had got an education and gained skills then he would'nt be stuck looking for the same dead ass job.

Initially I wasn't talking about any of that. I was talking about the case featured in this video. Read the other posts by other people. Judge Judy told this guy how it is. She was talking, rightly, about people like this defendant, who expect others to keep bailing him out. I cited my own case. I used to drink too much - was fired a few times, thrown out of a few places, and was dumped by a very beautiful young woman, all over being a drunk. This defendant has to wake up. (continued)

This guy is just one of thousands or hundreds of thousands and probably more than that. I Work in peoples homes that are on assistance, yet they have a big screen TV and a car that makes mine look like shit. I am sick of freeloaders and there are far too many on assistance. - I could go on but till our representatives and bureaucrats get off their asses and do what most Americans ask be done, it seems to get worse and worse. (Not a great job but it has been strady for 34 years @ same company.)

If this defendant has any scruples, he will hit bottom, it will hurt, and then he will restructure his life. But it doesn't look likely. To his credit, he talked with respect, and conducted himself with appropriate courtroom behavior. But people don't like being held accountable for their actions. And the people who scathe the judges on these shows are proof of this. It doesn't look like "common decency" isn't so common after all.

I have my doubts though. - My X could behave with the greatest respect when faced with circumstances that required respect concerning such important matters. On the other hand she chose to be a piece of shit in the real world. This means she & he knows right from wrong yet choose to do wrong.
