  • @guitarlvr54 thanks for watching!

  • Is this bridge up near Travelers Rest or River Falls Marietta area? looks real familiar. I lived in the backwoods out there for a year or so, The kind hospitable people bring back allot of memories ,, Great string of vids 63 thanks for sharing

  • @BADBONESDAD Greer, S.C.

  • Both those guys had incredibly long lives for the period they lived during! That is a very cool bridge. It has definitely stood the test of time!

  • The covered bridge festival just took place in the state that has more than any other covered bridges. My state........INDIANA. Peaceful places. I like spending time at places like that.

  • I wear long sleeve shirt with t-shirt year round; rain or shine.

  • @huerdon sounds like a personal problem. haha

  • on a day like that you would find a wagon load of hay or two in there waiting for the rain to pass.

  • @onelonleyfarmer yeah, fun to imagine what it would have been like back then..

  • @1963impala2dr well my grandmother tells me stuff about what it was like back in the day of horse drawn farming.she also said that it was a per horse charge to cross the Frenchtown bridge so my great grandfather would unhook two horses in PA. drive two to New Jersey get the load then hook up the two horses to pull the hill back to the farm.and when it rained on his way home he would pull under the covered bridge so the hay horses and him would stay dry.

  • @onelonleyfarmer i love stories like that

  • When I was in PA looking at their covered bridges, they said the bridges were covered so the horses would not be afraid to cross. I had always thought it was weather related before that.

  • @KeeperofTheMountain no.. the horses were afraid to be above the water, but they would go in if it looked like a barn.
