this is quite simple to understand if you take the time to go into it for yourself. we are conditioned from the day we are born. within that conditioning are our beliefs, our conclusions, our traumas, our memories both positive and negative. everything that creates a division between one person and another is in conditioning. if you can see through that conditioning then all psychological differences disappear and we all suddenly become one.

The core of the whole self who we have become is certainly not capable of this because any thought will be out of reaction to our conditioning, and becomes reactionary, Can you explain to me please, if it is possible, first of all for one to transcend that which is conditioning? Apart from the psychological securities of the core self..Any and all thought can never go beyond our conditioning

@saintjoe14 thought is conditioning, is that why thought can't go beyond conditioning, because thought can't go beyond itself? i see one good way of understanding thought in relation to nature: in nature it doesn't exist, and never did until humanity came along. the silence of nature, the universe, without time, where no divisions exist psychologically is where the divisions of thought can be easiest understood. the past exists in thought, and the present, which is actual life, exists in silence

@shickboy So we see that through thought, one can never reach beyond what seems simply because all thought is born out of our past. At best we will simply conclude in order to find some appeasement and come away with another belief of some sort. You point to a very interesting fact that in nature thought doesn't exist!! But am I misinterpreting you in that nature is silent? Is not the sizzling crackle of lightning or a sudden smack of thunder also nature? Not just silence? Explain please?

If it is our best thinking preoccupied with seeking a result, [ transcending conditioning], we fail to see beyond what seems. We become merely the core self trapped in thought. And we will rest once again on what is simply psychological security. That which is safe. And henceforth a slave to our own conditioning. The self creating a favorable result. So is it at all possible?

I think we cant meet ourselves when we talk about teachers, who are delivering informations, but only : out of the schools, in the playground of all schools, beyond all knowledge forms.

Johnny, it is not about judgement but about perception of what it is. I'm not in the "K's backyard"... I'm seeing the facts on my own. It is very easy to found some help if we are not seeking for something trascendental, sacred... no doubt your neighbours found "real help" through Tolle, I suppose they are better now... but I'd be very amazed if they were enlightened reading his books, because what Tolle do is to deviate your mind frome religion to therapy. And that's all. Best

Perception of what it is : Today, many teachers are using the expression :« what it is », but some of them dont designate in fact « what it is » but « what it is behind what it really is. You can call this fact : therapy , because it can offers an appeasement like a tranquillizer , but its often  a confusion laying on a terror to be, disguised in spirituality.

Meditation & therapy, hand in hand, is it possible ? .Why not ?

Phil, my name is Galaxio. Meditation is opposite to therapy. In therapy there is a goal: something (generally an ego) to be healed that becomes the center of all the efforts. In meditation, that "something" must be discarded entirely, so there is no center, no goal, and no effort. As you can see, there is no place for both in the same mind. "The observer is the observed" (K) is the key of all this. There is observation, but not observer... consider the implicancies of this. Regards

english is just the vehicle we are using at this moment. for, i am not interested wether mr tolle is a lier or not. but i see no necessity in judging him. for myself spoken. what is then wrong with my perception? i've read 4 books, btw, each one 1 to 10 tons (contentwise) so: we have a basis.

Sorry, I've not read your replay until now. You MUST be interested whether Tolle is a lier or not... like any other human being. It's not judgement, it is to see the facts. Not doing so implies that you are closing your eyes to both, reality and illusion, blindly accepting anything that anyone tells you. Just think about this... how a man that are building a complete pyramidal structure of "instructors" - putting himself at the top - can be speaking of the same truth than that of Krishnamurti?

The people always talk about great inspirer's and great motivational speakers like Dr. Martin Luther King, JFK, etc. and always leave out Jiddu Krishnamurti, the best of them all in a way. He had had vision that was always the human vision sitting deep inside us but some are so poisoned to even listen inside of them.

Eckhart Tolle Points to the same thing, in his power of now. But he seems to be particular about giving methods to the people, where JK does not even care about it. He just leaves the audience w/o giving any method, any comfort. At times I have found myself in a state of depression, tremendous negativity, but I can only say, I don't know how, but some day it flowers. What flowers, is neither negative nor positive, or there is no "me" to judge it. :)

Please don't dare to mix Krishnamurti with Tolle, who has stole parts of the teachings, transforming it in a money-machine. Tolle is an archetypal of those who Krishnamurti warned us all about.

i doubted that already, tolle didn't awake any call/ reaction on my side. K on the contrary .. but tolle has his part, the teaching goeas on and it is anyway exclusively up to you and me and all the rest of us.

Related to the teachings, dear mareeay, there is not someone more than K that has some part on it... the teachings and K (his life, his face, his words) are not separate things, it is a whole. Tolle explicitely call himself "a continuator of the theachings of K"... so he is defining himself as "an interpreter of the teachings"... just the kind of person considered by K as the most dangerous. I can sound like a rockstar fan, it doesn't matter. What matter, mareeay, is perception. The deepness of it. What lies behind not seeing the simple fact that Tolle is a lier? Well... a lack of perception. I've read tons of K's book in the 70's, and after that only occasionally. 2 years ago I've read 20 lines of Tolle, see his face, his webpage, his piramidal organization of instructors, and books/dollars flowing... and need no more as well. It's pretty obvious. Just look his face. Regards.

What you are saying? Krishnamurti NEVER have had any property, money, car, house, NOTHING. Money is not important, but the psychological attitude towards money reveals A LOT about what is happening in your mind... that lawsuite was not for money - if you are talking about the Rajagopals...

What you are saying is that Tolle is not as "aggressive" as K, so Tolle is more intelligent than K. The same apply to say that what Tolle says is more easy to grasp than K's teachings. Can you see the absurdity of this? And, last but not least, K IS the supreme authority in a lot of things RELATED to the teachings. For example, when he says that Masters do exist, or "the source of all energy", etc. Tolle is as fine as is his pyramidal hierarchy of instructors, or the price of his seminars...

Both "intructions" (and their instructors) are right? Oh please, that's exactly what Tolle and K are saying... for Tolle there IS A BIG EGO, and for the last, the ego is inexistent. Just read them carefully. Accepting both as real teachings is to be deeply confused.

Your description is beautiful... problem is, there is a man saying that the ego is a ghost (K), and there is another who says the same thing, but acts FROM his ego, and reinforce the ego in his "disciples" (whichever name have their readers). "Mastering the Power of Now" is a sentence more alike a businessman that an enlightened one. Please look at this simple, so plain fact. Regards

I have read « Mastering the power of now » and I didnt received it like a sentence. I know a few persons in my neighbourhood who had found a real help with the explanations of the mental mecanisms (the « body of suffering » in E.T.s own words.). « Businessman » Woh ?!!

Please Johnny... read *carefully* Tolle... how can a man who was "enlightened" (as himself declares) to profit from that "enlightenment"? How can use words like "power", "achievement"? Read his actions... his pyramidal structure of instructors, his organization... more than that: look at his face, eyes, mouth... if you can feel the inner magnificent beauty of a mountain, then you can feel the inner mysery of this man, indeed. Don't call him God incarnated. It has nothing to do with him. He is simply a guidepost pointing us to the Truth. He would never have wanted to be called a God. That's what we always do, worship the messenger. If someone points to the moon and says "How marvelous, look at that!", you look at the moon, not their finger.
