Nowadays it's rare for a player to go through 4 years of college when he's a top player. The Kobes and LeBrons have a 4 year headstart.

If Kareem played in the NBA out of high school we would have easily had 47,000 points. His best years were spent with the Bucks where he had 10,000 points in his first 4 years.
