i think the main problem is that you're bending your back rather than your knees, thats probably why you're not getting the hight as well as you could,
in my vids i seem to bend my knees to much lol but it helps me to get hight
Scott how is it going, its been a while since i have actualy had time to help you.
But this advise will help you if you just do it, when I started skating I was like 4 years old and all I did was ride my board around never did tricks I just road around.
Because of that I got the hang of board control and tricks just came quite ez to me over time. I have told people to do this one of my friends who started skating 2 years ago and guess what he rips now.
Yeah i think my trucks were so loose that i was losing balance when bnding my knees down too low. I was also on unlevel ground and i felt like i was rolling away
Hey man, I've been learning to ollie too the past couple of months, you're doing good. I remember my ollies would land to the side a lot too at first, so I tightened my trucks to see if it would help and I think it actually gives me better balance when landing. You should try it man because your trucks look very loose (which isn't bad, but I hear it's good to start tight when beginning) My ollies still need a lot of of work though lol.
ok what i see is this: popping to high vs. jumping, and moving your front foot to the left. thats why your swinging the board behind you and why you cant level out your ollies as much as you should. you have to bring your back foot up higher when you jump that way if your trying to ollie over something you dont hit on the back trucks. other than that your doing better especially that you hurt your back and all.
keep up the good work bro and you'll get there in no time.
keep practicing...when you skate you have to really think about everything. like how much force your putting, how high you're jumping, how hard you're popping and all that. what ive noticed is that it really helps to look at your front foot the whole time to see if its sliding or doing what its supposed to do. thats how i started landing switch flips better.
woah nice man i put up some new videos of me skating the mini mega you should check it out thats great that your finnaly better and skating again your doign really good

Thanks bro!

Slide your foot in a more upwards diagonal direction rather than a straight upward direction.
Keep your shoulders straight to avoid the board turning under your feet.
Don't skate in converse =P
