I really love Sadie and I think she is an amazing, gracious, elegant and very sweet-looking dancer. Kaya's performance style, however, profoundly bothers me. Dancers with that kind of porn-star expression and aggressive moment style (she slams herself into every movement to make it as big as possible, which is simply not necessary and can lead to serious back injuries) make it much more difficult to present bellydance as anything but an artform to turn men on.
Sadie is demure and graceful. Kaya is effervescent and crosses the line into stripperville from time to time. Both are amazingly talented and beautful women.
They both are amazing and and everyone should appreciate them for how talented they both are Sadie and kayak have different styles but that is wht makes them good they are in sync although they are not identical in style. They are good even in comparison to traditional bellydancers. They may be a little more sexy and modern. But its 2012 sex sells and im not gay bit they are sexy. I'd let my guy watch them before a porno. They're not grungy.
Kaya is too "sexy" or at less she tries to be .... what happend with those faces ???? ... not good at all for bellydance but for tabledance ( sorry if someone is not agree but this is what i think ) ... Sadie is the best :D she is a great dancer and looks natural ...
I am so glad that Sadie doesn't try to make all of these sexy faces while she dances. She is so natural! I think Kaya is lucky to dance next to her. She seems forced and tries too hard.
I find this dance to be really sloppy, lacking grace but thats just me.... cuz there was this other girl that danced to this song and the performance was so graceful, it was ridiculous how still she was with the bottom goin crazy...
Both extremely talented and I couldn't even begin to dance that well, but I have to say that Kaya makes it look more like an exotic dancer, and Sadie like a true bellydancer. Again though... crazy talented!
I really enjoy seeing dancers who have curves and aren't rock hard and thin. It makes the movements so much more sensual and noticable. I am all for women with curves!
As a belly dancer, I am disappointed to see that these girls have become so popular, because they make belly dancing seem so much more sexy and seductive than it is meant to be. Girls like this give the wrong impression of what belly dancers are and what we do.

You want to see sexual, look at what Shakira does and everyone considers what she does to be 'belly dance' even though it's a Latin fusion style. People you are comparing them which is only natural, but is it neccesary to to say one is pornish or lewd, They are both erotic dancers both have beauty in their own way you may prefer one dancer over another but is it really neccesary to put the other one down. They don't even pretend to dance, it's nothing but (plastic) breasts and hipshaking. In a bright pink tight plastic skirt with high heels for christsake. At least these two have considerable dancing skill and a very nice costume. These days the best bellydancers come from everywhere around the world, but definitely NOT from your Middle East, woman.

I've been told belly dance is an art form and its original intention was not to entice men... I do however believe that it is a beautiful sensual dance in itself and doesn't need much to entice a man anyway but I believe Sadie to be more pleasant to the eye because her facial expressions are more soft and feminine whereas Kaya looks almost lewd not sexual or sensual at all... being sensual is infinitely more appealing than being lewd or sexual and Sadie exudes sensuality more so in her dancing.
They both executed this routine very well, but when they do closeups of their faces, I also notice that Sadie's facial expressions are sensual and alluring but in a sensual way, while Kaya's facial expressions are very cheery yet very sexual [like a Victoria's Secret model]. Maybe it's the makeup? I don't know...But I can't help but see the difference between these two amazing dancers...
@bakurashi13 I think its the makeup.....cuz no matter how much Kaya smiles she still has a "let's get down to business" look lol. She usually cakes on so much makeup and Sadie has a very natural look. Usually the more make up you wear....you have a more bombshell or pinup girl type look.....so even tho Kaya may not be trying to act a certain way....its just the image she's portraying that makes us think she's trying to be something else. Both are great dancers regardless tho =] lol.

@stevenverstraete None of what you said is accurate by any account. Sorry. Scholars have a hard time agreeing on the origins of belly dance, let alone how old it truly is.
What is documented, is that belly dance had little to do with religion. It was in fact done by women for women in celebration of the feminine form and sexuality; and to prepare for childbirth (making it pointless to men).
Male belly dance is a recent trend.
I think you need to study from a more reliable/accurate source.

I've been told belly dance is an art form and its original intention was not to entice men... I do however believe that it is a beautiful sensual dance in itself and doesn't need much to entice a man anyway but I believe Sadie to be more pleasant to the eye because her facial expressions are more soft and feminine whereas Kaya looks almost lewd not sexual or sensual at all... being sensual is infinitely more appealing than being lewd or sexual and Sadie exudes sensuality more so in her dancing.

u guys seen nothing about belly dancing. search for arabic or turkish belly dancing. thats where u will get the good pic of true bellydancing ;)

They both executed this routine very well, but when they do closeups of their faces, I also notice that Sadie's facial expressions are sensual and alluring but in a sensual way, while Kaya's facial expressions are very cheery yet very sexual [like a Victoria's Secret model]. Maybe it's the makeup? I don't know...But I can't help but see the difference between these two amazing dancers...

@bakurashi13 I think its the makeup.....cuz no matter how much Kaya smiles she still has a "let's get down to business" look lol. She usually cakes on so much makeup and Sadie has a very natural look. Usually the more make up you wear....you have a more bombshell or pinup girl type look.....so even tho Kaya may not be trying to act a certain way....its just the image she's portraying that makes us think she's trying to be something else. Both are great dancers regardless tho =] lol.

@bakurashi13 AND.....its the attitude sort of lol. I can't explain it XD.....but I wonder if anyone else notices it or gets what I'm saying!?!?!?!?! Lol Saide has a more humble approach. She's dancing to perform.....like she's saying "Hey, I'm here watch me :D" she's just doing her thing..& Kaya is more arrogant ike she's trying to catch your eye or seek attention..the winks, open mouth...its like she's saying "YEAH I know you see me!" LOLLLL I dont know how else to describe it o_o....

totally cool! anyone who says these girls are skanky is a complete prude and jealous...these girls are sensual not sleazy ... I wish I could do moves like these for my husband!

@kimsue68 When any of us long time Middle Eastern dancers try to defend our art form, some uninformed sector of the general public always says the same boring line. " Just jealous"...yeah, okay. As a NON Middle eastern dancer I am sure you would think so. The rest of us know better. Now go on with your little sad life dear. Oh, and belly dancing is not done to titilate men, you poor uninformed woman. Go learn to strip if you want to entice your man. Leave our fine art form out of it.

@DonnaAnneM ...the more you comment, the more you prove that you are an angry woman who is not defending anything except her wounded ego. I do not have a "sad life" & I am not a dancer at all...I would not think of stripping! I think they both are exceptional dancers who exude sensuality and if they are able to do that do through their dancing...so let it be!... Just let it go!...you may be the one with the sad life if everything you hear or read offends you so easily

@DonnaAnneM First off, just because you perceive a dancer as sexual doesn't mean that was their intention. And secondly, so the hell what if they are, this is the 21 century. I'm sorry but I'm over this snooty attitude BELLY DANCERS have towards women who seem sexual. Belly dance is about being feminine and embracing everything that comes with womanhood, and guess what??? That includes SEXUALITY. And for the record, not only am I a Belly Dancer I've also taken strip tease and it's A LOT of fun.

@LibertineDeSade I'm also a bellydancer and I really think that what Sadie and Kaya do is amazing, but sometimes it really is too much about the boobs and the sexuality and bellydance is NOT AT ALL about sexuality!!!!In the very beginning (almost 5000years ago) it was a religious dance...so nothing to do with sexuality or even 'womanhood' because men also used to do it...

@stevenverstraete None of what you said is accurate by any account. Sorry. Scholars have a hard time agreeing on the origins of belly dance, let alone how old it truly is.
What is documented, is that belly dance had little to do with religion. It was in fact done by women for women in celebration of the feminine form and sexuality; and to prepare for childbirth (making it pointless to men).
Male belly dance is a recent trend.
I think you need to study from a more reliable/accurate source.

@MrFenia22 Thanks for the good chuckle Mr. Fernia. Sure I wish I could dance as well as either of them, but that isn't the point. The point is that she is far too sexual in what is NOT suppose to be a sexualized art form. Get it ? No? I bet you don't...LOL!!!
