Hey Joe King fans - Joe just announced a reunion tour for June 2011 in Texas with the original Crowns. They're playing in Dallas @ Poor David's Pub, Austin @ Antone's, and San Antonio @ Sam's Burger Joint. Thought the fans would want to know!

when I was in high school in Houston in the early 80's "Synapse Gap" was THE album to own; when Joe would play in town, there was a buzz going around school in anticipation. the first guy I ever saw stage dive & crowd surf; and after 1000's of punk/hardcore/metal shows in the last 20 year, still the best of them all. watch him and learn children!!!

I saw "Joe" on PBS (Seattle) live in concert back arround 1980. I was immediatly hooked. "Lupe" is my personal favorites and it should have been a top 10 song back then.
I saw these guys in San Antonio at the Arneson River theater during high school in 82 or 83. We were all dancing in the river, the band had to stop playing whenever riverboats came through so we had to get out of the river. But as the boats passed we jumped back in! Man, did I ever get sick from that water. The eighties were a blast!

I've always loved the new wave/garage rock songs with the whiny Farfisa organs like this one. Why aren't there are more bands like this now?
