  • this was truely mind blowing and proves ture the old saying...where there is a will there is a way.

  • hì_ÅNý0ñe_wäññá_chÄt_wÏth_mé_I_fËêl_sö_lÖñëlY_tODàý!

  • Dang this brings back memories. I came back from braking my back the third match of my senior year and being miraculously healed. And I was the first wrestler in my school's history to make it past 6th place in state so I had the whole stadium cheering for me too in finals. I kinda know how he feels on a much smaller scale. It doesn't matter how many people you've inspired... Losing your state match still sucks. You can see him holding back the tears when they recognize him after the tournament.

  • This truly is an inspiration. But he probably is in a 119, 125 weight class right? The reason why he dominates is because he has the amazing strength of a 215.

  • Somebody needs to make a hollywood movie of Dustin. Im a huge wrestling fan and this kid is truely amazing.

  • it made me cry when he lost the second one, he wanted it so badly..

  • And whoever GShock112 is...they better be Dustin Carter's freakin mom or close friend or something because their comment was a little weird! Hate all you want but I'm just saying.

  • Dear Dustin,

I wish i could express with words my esteem and admiration for you but I can't.

Love doesn't need words, I know you understand that because all heroes understand that.

Let it be silence then. I will always be with you.

    G.

  • i would jump over him and get my two

  • dude really? go fuck yourself.

  • @minadabom1

Okay I understand the comment I left three months ago was unfair. It was the first thing that came to mind after having watched the video for a minute. But seriously, there are so many people commenting on how much they worship this guy. COME ON GUYS! He's not going to thank you for that! He's heard that over and over and probably wishes you all would just say normal things about him. He was born the way he was born but he's still just another wrestler.

  • Wow why am I online at 11 pm? hmm... anyways, my comment was a little harsh too just out of nowhere. Yes he probably does wish we say normal things about him (which most of us do), but imagine yourself in his position, do you know how much courage and dedication that would take just to stay in the sport with his disability? Honestly im not worshiping him like you say, im just astounded by his effort.

  • @minadabom1

    Gotcha man

  • Actually he wasn't born this way. He ended up getting sick really bad at the age 5.

  • as messed up as that is i still laughed!!!

  • Lol! My respect still to Dustin Carter.

  • yeah if u laugh ur a cold hearted fuck who needs their ass beat.

  • dude it has nothing to do with how i feel about dustin. i have TREMENDOUS respect for the guy. it takes A LOT to be where he is at. it was the joke that got me, so relax. i cant help it if sometimes michael jackson jokes are funny. like i said i am concious that they are messed up but i am not the one saying them.

  • that kid has a good talint

  • 『カッコいい』

    彼にはこの言葉がピッタリです!

  • 心の支えになった

  • Youa are a great man!!!I' m a fighter as you...I love you Giuseppe Venticinque from Sicily

  • this kid deserves all the repect in the world

  • he went to my school.

he has better cursive handwriting than i do.

and can draw better than most people i know.

he's not too bad at halo either.

    you'd be surprised.

  • i'd give anything to have half the confidence he has. he trult is an inspirational hero.

  • absolutely amazing... the most hardest worker... i give him the most respect out of anyone

  • man and i thought wrestling tough for me

  • man this kid is basically 3times stronger then the kids he wrestles...... he has no arms and legs and makes up with that in muscle....lol i've never wrestled but i'd be laughin to much to wrestle ;\ but he is inspirational

  • well he has no arms and legs so it sux kus kids are usta wrestling people with arms and legs, what are they sposta do to him? its kinda unfair.

  • he came to our school it was osm...according to him the hardest thing for him to do w/ no arms is aiming when he pees > no lie thats what he said at the assembly lol

  • wow, great man

  • Wow, how would you wrestle that?! but truly amazing. I had a hard time wrestling with a bum knee, i can't imagine not having legs or arms... unbelievable.

  • just makes u wonder what he couldve been like with arms and legs. this guy inspires me.

  • awesome

  • how does he lift weights

  • on the cbs news, it show dustin lifting with his stubs. its crazy

  • inspiration

  • Wow he's amazing! Think of all the people out there WITH four whole limbs who have no ambition at all. Makes me feel guilty for complaining when I have to walk somewhere!!!

  • ud ur allsome bec, u have no arms or legs but u never stoped trying and u keep going dud ur my hero!!!!!!!

  • The 103-pound wrestler from Hillsboro (Ohio) High had to have each of his limbs amputated when he was 5 after contracting a rare, life-threatening blood disorder. Before taking a rare 1-0 loss at the National High School Coaches Association Senior Nationals in Virginia Beach, Carter owned a 41-2 record on the season and had reached the state championships. He finished third in his school's region and inked his name among the state's best wrestlers.

  • Yep!

And that's after 4 years of hard hard work.

His freshman year he was terrible and went 5-15, but like a true champion Dustin never gave up and worked even HARDER.

His senior season was the reward for all that hard work.

    I salute Dustin Carter!

  • he may not have won the state turny, but i have alot of respect for him

  • did the first opponent forfit

  • no they just shwowed the end of the match :)

i was there as a matter of fact....

  • To all the haters and doubters on this string:

Go to flowrestling . com (no spaces) and watch the video of him getting recognized after being eliminated from the state tournament.

The entire stadium roars for several minutes and gives a standing ovation.

It is obvious all the people at the state tournament disagree with you.

  • I was at the Schottenstein Center covering the state tournament that weekend. Standing ovations usually are reserved for four-time state champions. You could hear the ovation in the back rooms when they honored Dustin with that honor. Great young man. Heard him talk at a local school. Basically, he said; Don't say something is too hard to do.

  • wtf

  • all that can be said has

    i salute this dude

  • I respect and admire this man!

  • he has a heart for resling and he wont quit cause of this disabillite

  • its al about heart and he shows it

  • spam wow lot of it here....

  • Hes the man! winner or loser, to do what he does in his situation gets my vote anyday!!

  • Here is an example of how hard Dustin Carter has worked to go from 5-15 as a Freshman to 41-4 as a Senior!

    w w w. youtube. com/watch?v=ooQKUYQ_WgQ

This kid could have given up, and felt sorry for himself, after having a losing record his Freshman Year, and only winning 5 matches.

He decided to not give up and just worked harder!

    I salute you Dustin!

  • I am a bit rusty on scoring and the camera got blocked during a few whistles but I scored it like this...

    Dustin (red)

    Escape

    Take down

    Take down

    Opponent (green)

    Escape

    Escape

I see what must be the pin at the very end. I still did not see the referee tap the mat. It must have been a subtle tap at the time the guy walks in front of the camera.

  • Phonetroll,

    You are incorrect.

Dustin not only dominates his opponent, but he pins him at minute 3:59.

    w w w. youtube. com/watch?v=zvxc8S5ybS4

You obviously didn't take the time to watch the entire video.

On top of that Dustin had to go through a District Tournament to beat other wrestlers to earn the right to go to the State Tournament?

Anyone would be angry to be born with no arms and no legs, but Dustin found wrestling, and it provided him a direction in his life.

  • Again...I am not attacking Dustin, the man, who is an inspiration by becoming an athlete with what he has rather than he has not.

I only address that it is he who has the advantage in this sport. If he were wrestling exhibition matches then there would be no disagreement. Why should one of his opponents lose an athletic scholarship?

I watched the whole video...the referee did not tap the mat. At the end they simply reset because they left the circle. If you don't pin then its points.

  • The ref tapped the mat. Dustin got the pin and the match ended.

Are you watching this video? w w w. youtube. com/watch?v=zvxc8S5ybS4

As a freshman Dustin only won 5 matches out of 20 matches.

He wasn't very good, but he didn't give up. Dustin worked harder and finally qualified for State as a Senior.

How does losing 1 match to Dustin Carter cause his "opponents to lose an athletic scholarship"?? It does not!

  • my other comments are just me as a former wrestler and my opinion wich shouldnt be looked as bashing him, this kid misses out ons o much in life, im glad he is able to wrestle, and he desearves any love from anyone and attention and anything good in life really, love and all that, hes a true genuine person in deed.

  • it would be unfair to hafta wrestle this kid, in wrestling, your oppenents arms and leggs are your tools, and if he has none what do u do? get awkwerd possistions on him? he trains himself to be able to wrestle abble body people. noone trains to hafta wrestle him. its really unfair, u cant get any kind proper positions on him.not being a dick its just not fair, and with all respect he can basicly wiggle his way out of anything realy. id be angry if i hada wrestle this kid.

  • lordthugui is a fagget..i'de love to see him go out there and wrestle..bitch u'de get ur ass stomped!

  • To the haters,

Here is video of Dustin Carter completely dominating and then pinning his opponent.

    w w w. youtube. com/watch?v=zvxc8S5ybS4

To qualify for the State Wrestling Tournament means you are one of only 16 kids, out of hundreds, to be participating in this tournament.

I can't believe how ignorant you are to have posted what have.

    Dustin EARNED it!

I would imagine Dustin would have you on your back, like the little bitches you are, in a very short amount of time.

  • There are two stories here...one is a disgruntled kid who turns to sports to overcome his disadvantage. (cbs interview) That part I think we all agree is spirational.

He has overcome obstacles and has done what many can not do with all limbs.

The second addresses all who want to proclaim him as a dominant wrestler. Here is where I draw a line because his "inspirational achievement" is unfair to his opponents. The video offered by the AngryAmerican does not show domination or a pin.

  • spirational =inspirational

I am not attacking him personally nor discounting the fortitude to overcome obstacles.

    I am just stating facts.

  • i 100% agree it would be unfair to wrestle him,. how can i get a proper arm bar? or a cradle, or a basic legg takeodnw, he practices to wrestle able body people., noone practices to wrestle somone like him, im not being a dick, but almsot every move would be diffrent against him and its unfair.

  • Phonetroll,

    You are incorrect.

Dustin not only dominates his opponent, but he pins him at minute 3:59.

Anyone would be angry to be born with no arms and no legs, but Dustin found wrestling, and it provided him a direction in his life.

  • why? i bet that kid would give anything for legs and arms

  • Awesome young man!

  • I WILL KICK HIS ASS AND RAPE HIM AFTER !!

  • Wow, awesome : )

  • He may be lacking limbs but he has pleanty of heart.

  • Killah... He is mega-demon... El diablo!

  • I am a freestyle wrestler and I can tell you that he has tremendous strength and great scrambling ability for someone with such a big disadvantage. This kid is an awesome athlete.

  • yeah i heard he's going into the UFC

  • Damn... that guys definitely has power

  • este pata me da mucha inspiracion para seguir mi vida despues de tener muchos problemas y pensar quw ya me decia ami mismo que nunca seran resuseltos... pero que me falta nada... comparado a tal valentia de ese hombre.

  • Good work. I can't believe I don't believe in myself sometimes and I watch this randomly this is awesome. Truly inspirational

  • he was 44-2 in his senior year of high school and made it to state... what incredible heart and determination

  • are you serious...how the fuck can anyone face someone that handicapped. its just simply not fair and not right. its like beating a blind person wtf is this

  • Then explain why he is better than most high schools wrestlers...

  • Quite an amazing story!

  • Anyone that flames this video isn't a wrestler and doesn't truely appreciate what you do, or why we wrestlers keep at it despite horrible odds.

  • Inspiration at it's finest! Keep up the great work! You are a true champion!

  • Okay... Phonetroll?

    Get a freaking life.

How many people do you see actually even ATTEMPT this sport with any disability and have enough balls to go state-wide with it?

Including him, I can count one.

This man has an incredible heart and spirit for even thinking about doing this, and to see a comment like yours is both sickening, disgusting and just plain rude. Why don't you go cut off your limbs and try what he does?

Better yet, just go cut off your limbs.

  • Not2shabby

    I have one thank you.

I can name several, check out Clay Dyer for a more inspirational story.

I did not say he did not have heart or spirit. I mearly mentioned in this one arena he has the advantage.

  • Dustin Carter is my hero. Even with your arms and legs, he will still work your butt! Heart wins everytime. Keep going kid! Ignore the haters...

  • first of all, probably 30% of the comments are trashy. why trash talk a kid who obviously has a disadvantage. (no offense Dustin). i give this kid a ton of credit for doing what he does. its hard enough to advance to states after district and region rounds, let alone doing it with no arms or legs. so stop with the pathetic comments and move on.

  • It's people like this that inspire me and think outside the box, thank you and god bless you!!

  • Two part comment: part one... This kid has courage, spirit, yada yada yada and all the "feel good" comments.

Part two: For those who know the sport of High School wrestling...you win by either a pin or by points. The most points come from take down and escapes. There is no way to earn a take down with this kid but he can certainly escape at will. You use an opponents limbs (half-nelson, chicken wing, cradle) etc to pin someone. So all he has to do is stall and escape to win a match.

  • you are a total asshole

go jerk off and leave normal people the hell alone

  • lol, never thought about that.

  • It absolutely amazes me what some people can push their body to do.

  • dude this guy reminds me of that other guy with no arms or legs.... wait maybe it was him.... well i did a book report on him. guess what. im blonde.

dustin, i'd rub sunscreen on your back for free

  • He'd be hard to shoot on.

  • that was sweet, but i didn't watch it, this was a test, the first two seconds looked cool though

  • Lol.

  • Kick some ass! even tho I don't know shit about wrestling but I think he won. WOOT

  • Wrestling video featured on Youtube...sweet!

  • Comment removed

  • even tho u look at him and say he is crippled and all that but when u think about the wrestling aspect of it he has the body of a 145 - 160 pound wrestler its the fact he doesn't have his arms n legs that let him wrestle 118 - 125 who have less muscle and pure power

  • What an inspiration! Run for President Dustin, I'll campaign for you!!!!

  • boom180180,

Here is video of Dustin Carter completely dominating and then pinning his opponent.

  • It takes heart and dedication to be a wrestler and an athlete period. Its amazing to see someone do whats he does. And alot of people take forgranted the fact they can walk and just have normal lives. Thanks for the video and god bless.

  • forget the physical aspect think about it from the opponenets pov. no one wants to wrestle a crippled.

  • JESUS is the ONLY solution to what is COMING! FASTEN your seatbelts boys and girls ITS GOING TO GET ROUGH!!! THE END IS NEAR, seek JESUS!

  • lol k... what is the fastest way to him?

  • MAD PROPS bra

  • ^ : : : : SEE PROFILE : : : : : : :
  • why they letting him wrestle hes crippled its not like hes going to win them any competitions. come on lets be realistic. LAME!!!!!!!

  • Okay...Let's be realistic...First of all he wrestles probably around 103 because of his missing limbs. If he had everything he may as well be in the 140's-150's range so he can eat up most 103's that step onto the mat. Most of them are merely freshman that have no idea what's going on anyways.

Besides all that...There has to be some reason he made it into the State Tournament. I mean you have to place 4th-1st in Sectionals and then 4th-1st in Districts. He won matches against decent wrestlers

  • boom180180

You must not know that this is the STATE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT?

He had to win matches to place in District competition, to earn the right to go to the State competition.

He is wrestling the best competition in the State in this video and holding his own.

He beat and pinned many wrestlers, in his career, and I guarantee he would make short work of a little worm like you!

  • Ugh.

  • This was truly an inspiration ( hence the title name ) to me due to the fact that I used to wrestle myself a few years ago. It's amazing what the Lord can do in people's lives. It just goes to show that no matter what circumstance(s) come(s) to our lives there is good and a purpose in it. I am definitely going to email this to many of my friends. Well, God bless and I hope whoever is reading this comment will post one as well.

Psalm 73:26 (KJV, to be exact).

  • this guy should never give up on what he loves doing. If he can wrestle that well, then he should keep wrestling until the day he dies.

  • the fact that the guys fighting him put their all in to their bouts and treat him like any other wrestler is commendable and i'm sure he wouldn't have it any other way.

  • Those that feel bad...,don't. He doesn't. He goes out there and as you can see, gives it his all. He's truely inspirational! I know totally normal bodied persons that won't even put in an ounce of effort for anything. Much love for Dustin....Peace!

  • WTF?!

  • Wow, it's gotta be so incredibly awkward to wrestle him...

  • i dont understand why some of these kids celebrate after beating him

  • How do you wrestle someone without full limbs?

I mean, it sorta doesn't look like the opponents are trying their best...

  • such a gay title

  • poor guy

  • ummm...this is great and all, but how is he supose to pin anyone down? lol, guess all he can do is push them out

  • he can get in have nelsons

  • did he beat that first kid or was the kid crying because he was creeped out?

  • you might even say in some ways he has an advantage....

he practices against average people everyday, they never practice against someone with his condition.

big ups to him either way for pushing through

  • There was a kid on one of the teams my team faced who had one arm. I never personaly wrestled him but still...

  • woah, that was amazing.

Can't believe he actually does wrestling in with that handicap. I wouldn't manage to continue the sports I'm doing if I had to amputate even One limb, so 'thumbs up' for that guy!

And even for a guy he is quite good-looking and no one deserves to be in that condition, but he fight it and it's great!

Even brought tears to my eyes...

  • feel so bad gold bless him keep tryin bro

  • mercy*

  • i woulda shown no mercuy i mean i feel bad for him but its his fault if he gets hurt he shouldnt have wreslted

  • I think Zak Sanders is better.

  • well, Big ups to Dustin for doin what he loves and keepin with it.

This also forces his opponents to keep up good sportsmanship xD

  • it would suck to have to fight him, if you win you look mean and heartless, if you loose you look like a wimp.

  • I was thinking that too... I think if you lost he would know you did it on purpose and that would be mean too. I would just win and congratulate him.

  • if anyone has a question about what heart is...THAT! is HEART...

  • Wow, just amazing! What a great example of will and determination in the human spirit.

  • that made me cry!

  • example of life!

  • he is fricken built he owns a title in the modified becn press and has done some other pretty amazing shit

  • Damn! twig-man....

    lol

  • holy crap..im 5 9 and im weigh 126 and i couldnt do half the shit this guy does and i have all my body parts..mad resect for dustin i dont care what ppl say he is an athletic hero

  • lol stop laughing at the physically hadicaped. So this guy was really built before he lost his limbs. So this gives he the advantage cause he moved down A lot of weight classes heh.

  • You would think that the lower weight classes would have wrestlers with a lot more skill, at least judging from my experience as a wrestler.

I think he wrestled at 103 pounds, which would be the lowest weight class in high school wrestling.

  • So you're saying he was like this all his life before he wrestled

  • Not exactly, but close. He had some blood disease, which resulted in his limbs having to be amputated at age 5.

  • wow that scared me shitless.

  • New youtube show, super phun-nice editing etc check it out! watch?v=VMsR4OG_smQ

  • god bless him. im glad he stuck with what he loves to do

  • shit he got skillz

  • wow all u people sayin shit about this guy, why dont u go cut half ur arms and legs off and then try to wrestle

  • That's kool, he could be at home fretting. But instead his doing something. 5*****

  • wtf man. why would you say that?

  • lol I go to his school

  • imagine having that disability and still having the spunk and bravery to compete...awesome. keep going dustin!!

  • reminds me of the one legged national champ forgot his name though

  • God bless you man, true inspiration

  • wasted6 you are a loser. People , we have finally witnessed a real life loser on the net. Not the last.......

  • madd respect Dustin, i probably would've quit everything

but yooo what happened to make him lose his limbs?

  • are you stupid... how can u say that... you don't know anything about how he lost his limbs and i bet you would cut them off...

also he has to be strong i bet not like you who must be all day sitting at your computer criticising people through internet... ¬¬'

  • your an idiot. period.

  • That's trippy

  • this video showed me that if i put my heart and soul into wrestling i could place at states. i came up a match short but after watching this i will be there next year. thankyou 4 posting this video..

  • lil man is dope

    He's got heart

    i gotta give him that

  • this is inspiring, even though he gives on height, weight and length, hes still as technical and as agile or even more agile than any other wrestler there.

  • who the hell cares about how you are "supposed to wrestle him"....its not about that, its about the fact that even though he has a disability, he and anyone for that matter can achieve the goals you set out for....

  • he is my hero.

  • This kid has a lot of heart and courage to compete in a game that heavily relies on limb use. on top of that he is not ashamed of the cards he was dealt and is not embarrassed to give it his all in a very public environment where many people with his condition would be traumatized.

  • Im sorry but he should not be doing this. How are you supposed to wrestle him.

  • Proof positive that anyone can accomplish anything in life if they put their mind and determination into it.

    Awesome video!

  • Lion Heart. Awesome story. Those with negative comments must of been beat by him:) My life has been improved by watching... thanks for posting this video.

  • why

  • oh. lame. don't cry, peeenisss, don't cry...

  • wow man this guy is
