what he saw in his dream when he wrote that song, really happened to me, that song makes me sad, but still being good , simply I love it, ................Paul and The Beatles Rulzz
I think this is IT... Paul was what we call "grace" in France... This rendition of "Yesterday" is a pure moment of "grace" in the History of Rock... And we DO need it today... And fuck the agressive usual ingredient of Rock... This is HUMAN, this is TENDER, this is LIFE as it SHOULD be.

I would agree with dammRebel that this is a great performance of Yesterday. The show was a bit thin but really came together at the end with the live performances and the Yesterday performance here. A beautiful rendition. Shut the hell up Mr. Announcer.
I too have waited decades to watch this again, after seeing it once as a kid in the 70's. The consensus back then was that this showed hints of his soon-to-occur '73 Band on the Run "recovery" from the '71-'72 slump in his music. Most people felt that the live segments, performed 3/18/73, blew away the somewhat corny taped studio performances, such as "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance."
i m a great mccartney fan and i thaught till this time i heard all versions of yesterday, but this i think still the best version and singing of all versions of him.........

I would have to agree with that, but I also agree with the comments above that this is my favorite performance of "Yesterday," too.

does this version exist without the voice interruption at the end?
leadguitarman9 3 years ago 3
His voice is somehow more relaxed than any the studio, which I use to calm myself down and put to sleep. Shame that guy interrupts it.
