Honestly, not a very great battle. Saikai-san had a good start but he kept changing his plan and the challenger couldn't even handle the sole.

I guess if the Chairman had chosen vegetable for the theme, it would have been a better battle.

You are missing the point.

What's important in the battle is the final taste of the dishes they provide. Sakai in this battle in particular produced masterpieces to each judge's month. Sakai really is a chef par excellence.

This is suppose to be a great battle but actually Sakai-san wins comprehensively. It was a great performance by Sakai-san. He truly is a great Iron Chef. Well done...
