  • yes...thank god.. another revolver man...i like a 45...but first love is my good ol 38 special...no bullshit, no hang , no jam...just shoots...i think it is some funny shit ...all the mtv gangsters and their sideways grip autos...and the best one of all is the tec nine....hahahhaa...what a piece of sht ...please drop thousands of them off in your nearest ghetto...

  • SAFETY!

  • nice video man, so you used to be a cop? what other guns do you have?

  • No, no, I just worked for a security company that also offered specialized training in deadly force, PR-24's, cuffs, pepper spray, etc. Not very close to full-on cop, but it was nice to be armed with more than a rent-a-cop badge, ya know?

  • Yes, that's just the way I do it. Good video.

  • Ooooo. I never seen anybody reload a revolver like that. Last time i fired a revolver was my grandpas 38. I hated that fucking gun. It was old. Like from the Capone days. But i was 11 years old, so it was heavy and hard to pull the trigger. Even the hammer was hard.

But it was the first gun i ever fired.Thats how you know your an old timer: You got your own methods.

I don't even think NutNfancy would have any idea how to use a revolver. Unless you made it out of plastic. He loves plastic

  • I was trained to do it this way and just kept doing it, mainly cause I dislike the bulky speedloader pouches on my belt... I've never understood cops that keep magazines and other crap sticking out from their duty belts -- you get in and out of your car dozens of times a day but you *might* need a quick reload once or twice in a career.

  • have a browning hi power original from belguim and a colt python, sure the browning is worth more and holds mroe rounds, but its just something about a revolver that makes me feel more comfortable

  • I agree. Plus from the front, to the bad guys the Python looks like you mean business.

Side note, the speedloader model size is the same for this Dan Wesson as it is for the .357 Python.

  • simple? yep, simple :D

    nice video!

    greetz from germany =)

  • The important things are always simple, the simple things are always hard, and the easiest path is always mined.

    Greetz from the USA. =)

  • Excellent video! You got a good point about speed loaders. I guess that's an advantages of speed strips... a little slower but easier to operate.

I think I would prefer full moon clips over speed loaders.

  • I'm still undecided about reloads in general. It's been a long, long time since I've read up on firefights but I believe it's still accurate, that any firefight that requires the participants to reload more than once is *extremely* rare.

Still, it's all good practice and flexibility is never a bad thing, ya know?

  • Yep, better to practice fast and secure reloading and not need it than to stumble into one of those rare occasions where it is needed.

  • at the time of this comment, this video has 1,000 views, congrats.

  • I'm not sure whether to be pleased or to keep checking the mail for a court summons in a wrongful death suit. We'll find out I suppose.

  • this guy is awesome, he's like the Bob Ross of guns. "put this happy little bullet in the happy revolver...yea that looks good there."

    great vid

  • Very good instruction:)

  • nice hand reload!

those reloader devices are ok but nothing beats being able to reload fast with your own two hands!

    good work sir.

  • Cactus Jack! bang bang!

    Good one sir!

I miss my hair! It was almost that long before I cut it... took me three years to grow it now it gone...

  • I almost got to use the revolver last night. Someone tried to break into our house

  • I'd hope you wouldn't have to resort to shooting them... geez, what happened?

  • Thank god I didn't have to. Well it was 3:30AM, I was the only one awake. Just sitting at the computer eating Doritos(awesome chips) when I hear this loud noise from the back door and I check and see a person trying to force the door open. All the lights were off so he musta thought that we were asleep. So I instantly thought "Shit!"

I ran upstairs to grab it and I heard my dog bark and then yelp. I went back down to see that the door was open and my dog was dead. Im actually really sad.

  • ................

There are no words to describe what I'd personally do to someone like that...

I'm hoping you followed through and filed a police report on him, and all i can say is don't leave your weapon upstairs when the time comes -- this guy has an ass-kicking coming to him.

  • Oh trust me, I did it myself! The police are now being even more cautious.

But I just dont understand, he got my door open but instead of coming in and harming me or grabbing expensive stuff, he kills my dog and ran. Thats not fair, why my dog? And yeah im keeping my revolver in my cabinet of my computer stand.

  • It sounds like killing your dog was just prepping the house, but something scared him off and he had to abort. It doesn't make sense otherwise.

I'm hoping you have good police out there. Get copies of every report you can, especially his methodology and tools. Consider installing a security alarm or making one. And above all, be absolutely sure you can justifiably use your sidearm in situations like that... it sounds like it's just a matter of when.

Not liking this one bit, man.

  • Yeah, our one police officers who's been with the force for YEARS. Hes basically caught all the criminals in my town. And I ask them about the revolver and they said that as long as I have a weapon license and I follow the safety rules, that I can keep it. But im gonna have to be alert at night, cause I usually stay up REALLY late

  • Hey, thanks for the help man, I live out on the country now, and there have been sevral murders in my general area so my dad bought me a revolver and trusts me with it even though im 16

This vid REALLY helped me to learn the basics. Thanks a bunch!

  • Glad to hear, man. And I won't go into all the kneejerk precautionary stuff but in your situation I will definitely recommend you find out about local laws concerning self-defense and finding out (with absolute certainty) how and when you can use it.

And beyond that, if you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

  • Alright and thanks again

  • can u show us of you shooting it? out your backyard at a can or something? and show us speedloading your shotgun XD. thanks

  • why cant i buy a gun

  • of course the video with the gun gets most views haha! I live in MA where the liberals take over and hate guns. I go to NH, where guns are loved and murders are less common. Republicans all the way

  • Hey good video man, never shot a revolver myself so hopefully now no one will be able to tell I haven't haha

  • Very interesting, man. Love your videos.

  • What seems so obvious to you, is rather odd to a European, because here we don't carry around guns like you do in the USA and I can't think why would a normal citizen need one really. In my opinion, the more guns, the more stupid killings. If the access to guns is made difficult, less people use them for bad purposes, especially teenagers. The only time I'm around a gun is when playing a computer game. ;)

  • A valid point, to be sure. Granted, most of what you might see is filtered through the media and all they seem to be able to show is the murders and school shootings and the like, never mentioning the ordinary citizens that have guns at home all their lives and never have an accident.

Teenagers and guns comes down to informed, proper parenting.

And in this case, I own guns for the same reason I own fire extinguishers; I live out in the country and until help arrives, I'm on my own.

    Ya know?

  • i agree

    (got your back dude)

  • lmao

  • I'm also European but I have to disagree with you. All that anti-gun regulation does one thing: take the chances of self-defense away from legitimate citizens, leaving them as vulnerable as sheep against criminals. Making access to guns difficult primarily affect the majority of the population, while criminals are not necessarily restricted by that. Show me the criminal who respects the law and buys a gun legally... one who wants to assault or kill someone gets the weapon from the black market.

  • Apart from that, what most people seem to forget is that the problem is not firearms, but people. It's a question of responsibility. Irresponsible, reckless, or mentally disturbed people can hurt or kill another person with just about anything. And as long as they know for sure the potential victim is unarmed and thus not dangerous to them, it's way too easy for them.

As for teenagers + guns, it's the same as teenagers + cars. Both can be extremely dangerous. Want to ban cars?

  • Rocking class! I haven't had a whole lot of experience around guns. Years ago, growing-up my father taught us gun safety, the cleaning and maintenance of small rifles, shotguns, and bigger, game rifles. Specifically a 30.0.6 bolt-action rifle I got one Christmas. It was kinda a tough gun. No nonsense, simple, and easy to maintain.

But we had almost no exposure to hand guns. I appreciate and respect the proper handling of guns. This was informative!

    Peacemakers, LOL!

    \A/

  • Thanks man. I know I left a lot out and especially more about safety, but I do like revolvers for their simplicity and ease of use.

(And I need to find a reason to buy another rifle I think... I saw a gorgeous .308 at the gun shop the other day and I need to convince the wife to allow me to rebuild my collection again.)

But I agree, the simpler the better. Doesn't have to be pretty, just has to shoot straight.
