I just checked out the SW Motech handguards and they should provide better protection than the BB VPS plastics and probably about the same as the Storm plastics. I'd go with the less expensive but the SW guards are not available in the US yet.
The barkbusters used to touch the wind screen at full lock. I added Rox handlebar risers to move the bars up and back which also took care of the BBs touching the Givi windscreen. BBs touching the tank or fairings have never been an issue for me. I want to swap out the BB VPS plastics for their Storm plastics for better coverage.
Since I shot the video I have added Rox Anti-Vibe handle bar risers, a gear shift indicator, and some black reflective tape on the Givi bags. The black tape blends in with the black on the bags in the daytime but reflects white when a vehicle's headlights hits it at night.
Don't forget the tank protector my friend...You need to protect that paint finish:) Can the versys handle heated grips, electric vest, pants, gloves and GPS all at the same time?
Kawasaki "updated" the Versys for 2010. It has now has a more BMW adventure bike look. Just something to keep in mind in case you don't like the new styling.
yeah i saw that on the site. But I think I am gonna go for an 07 or 08 model due to money reasons. But yeah man.....I am seriusly thinkin about picking one of these up.
I'm 6'2 and the Givi windshield works fairly well. At interstate speeds I tend to get a fair amount of buffeting but I think it's one of the best that you can get.
nice, all you need now is a rear hugger and a tank pad!

I stole your idea for the car door edge trim on the "leaf grate" radiator guard after you posted that on the forum. Thx.

The car door edge trim guard was starting to come off the edges so I zip tied them on.

I like everything you did, well done! FWIW I'd keep the tail bag, I like how it ties some silver into the upper tail section.
