You can see the difference in the way he runs, from High school all the way to NFL.

In HS, he would just pull some Reggie Bush crap and bounce and juke everywhere.

Now in the NFL he just makes one cut, jukes someone out if need be, then runs as fast as he can.

I'd argue he was only a 3* because Rivals and Scout didn't accept him as an everydown back.. he wasn't an Adrian Peterson mold. Had he been in this years class he would for sure been 4*, if not 5. Because of the short little fast scat-backs like him and Reggie... people like Chris Rainey and Jeff Demps are rated higher on the scouting websites.

I played football in Pottstown PA, and my freshmen year I remember that we played Conwell Egan in a scrimage. I got a couple of plays and one one of them tried to takle slaton and he lowered his shoulder and ran me over lol. I'm very proud of that.

@texasfan58 Thats because recruiting is a guessing game. Clay Matthews was a walk-on in college whose only 1-A offer was from Idaho, I believe. There have been plenty of four and five star busts. The star system measures things like size and athleticism, but it doesn't take into account things like work ethic, coachability, etc. Plus, some kids are closer to the peak of their physical maturity by their senior year in high school, while others are not, but reach it in college and excel.
