  • wont the sword chop through that bamboo if it is swung full force?

  • Yuthakunkhom, is there anyway you can get a clip of those Kru's to defend a hook for me? I just wanna see if it's the same or have any similarity to the Boran I'm training. Thanks!

  • Demonstrating is one thing putting it to battle is another. And my perspectives of fighting are: Boran=stand ups, Boxing=punches, Ju Jitsui=grapplings, Wrestling=takedowns.

  • @kumplerngthom

"Demonstrating is one thing putting it to battle is another".

    I agree with you.

For the rest, you don't have all the necessary information.

Yuthakun Khorm is all that : boran, boxing, ju jitsui, wrestling, etc... and weapons

When you will have the opportunity and chance to see the authentic krus in Cambodia, these krus will explain you what is Yuthakun Khorm. It will avoid you wasting time to discuss on Internet. When you will come in Cambodia, I shall make you meet these krus.

  • @someatapicharana I will be back in Cambodia in few weeks. As for time of visit I am very much booked on daily basis. Maybe if given the time I'll let you know when I can visit. And maybe when my dad come to visit again we all can meet there and then. I don't have that much of a knowledge in Kbach Boran but I do know bits of here and there.

  • I would love really love to pay a visit to both federations. Maybe there's more to it to see in person than what's on the internet.Yuthakhun Khom does have more authentic Khmer styles than of Bokator's. But I'm still not seeing any valuable points of their techniques yet but just a simple "I kill you with my techniques" wich is the equivalent to fighting a standing mannequin.

  • It is difficult to discuss with people who want to drown fish in the water.

I was student at lok ta kroma meas at Psar Orussey (bokator Academy), then I were at lok kru CHAN Bunthoeun (Kla Hos), I saw the difference.

I regretted having wasted time and some money at bokator Academy.

  • I also like to point out to all the masters in Cambodia that I've seen this past years on youtube that they are in no knowledge to expose their Martial Arts to the world to see. I also believe that there are real masters left alive still hiding in the shadows. They're just waiting for the right time and kind of people for them to actually show up. Yuthakun Khom nor SKS Bokator techniques are watered down for marketing strategies or for whatever reason it's just not right for our cultures.

  • I am in no knowledge wutsoever to do a conference call to all masters but my dad does have the ablilty to do so. I would also like Sakah in :Long Beach, Ohio,Ottawa, San Francisco, Lowell, Australia, Germany to be a part of this meeting. We will let you guys know ahead of time and hopefully we can agree on a date and time for this year if not next. Talking does not make actions only actions can do so.

  • If given the time. It's best if we Koh Hao or do a conference call for all Khmer Martial Arts Masters near and far if possible. Lok PraTean Ok Saphon is Chief of Minsitry Arts and Culture, forgot his email though. We should let them know that. It's best if we do this the sooner the better if we want to see our cultureS continue on before too late. I'm not a fan of verbal wars but I just had to make the first move. I care so much for my people and cultures.

  • @kumplerngthom

With what money do you want that Kla hoh and not Koh Hao phones to people ?

Mister SKS can do it and not these poor old krus. They have no money.

All the Khmers worry about their culture. But we must have to defend AUTHENTIC culture.

Komphor is right. It is necessary to have a public debate, on the television so that, Khmer people know which is the real origin of the Khmer Martial Art.

  • @kumplerngthom

Lok OK Sophon knows Mister SKS (San Kim Sean) and the other krus but it is not him who decides.

It belongs to the Khmer people, especially to the elderly who must determinate what is the real Khmer Martial art.

The real question is : "is bokator of Mister SKS authentic or created by him?

  • This Kun Dombang Veng clip ("Cambodian staff technique") is the most authentic and reference to Mae, Tvir, Kbach, and Sneat. The flow of movements and techniques of the two practitioners have reached their perfection. The Tvir Kun are the various footwork for weapon art and un-armed art. This reference to match to what I have been taught. So, far I am still not clear with the Tvir Kun even after the a conference call with Pa'oun VRIEANK SUNG.

  • Why do not we hear the other krus of authentic Khmer Martial Arts?

They live in the countryside, and don't know how to use Internet.

Meet and ask them the question about khmer Martial Art ?

They fell bad when they hear the word " bokator ". They say all : "it is a "thing" invented by Mister SKS".

  • To Jayavarman

    My respect for you.

You are right to say that we should not Kompass tongkech Knea between us.

However, it is necessary to say the things that the authentic krus in Cambodia can not say by internet because they don't have it.

As long as there will be no television debate between Mister SKS and other authentic krus of Khmer Martial Art, (and not in front of Sports Commission), we cannot legitimize the authentic Khmer Martial Art.

  • To Komplergnthom

Mister SKS is not afraid for his life. He is afraid for his business with his "bokator" invented by himself. Is not other krus afraid of their life ?

Khmer Martial arts are not so watered as well as you claimed.

To have this vision, it is necessary to be lucky to study it with an authentic kru.

At the moment, I think that you have not still had the opportunity to meet these authentic krus.

Concerning Bokator of SKS, no comment. You're right. It's watered with Hapkido.

  • Learn to be an art of a student. The art of learning is to have the ability to process information by analysing. Keep in minds that Khmer empire was not built over night and how BIG was the empire? To be an empire, one country must have a knowledge of warfare not just soldiers but the Khmer people. The ancient and ethnic arts spread throughout the Sovannaphum = Khorm.

  • Som Mae Ta Pa'oun Pa'oun tang oss cheas veang Kompass tongkech Knea dael ach bongkeut nov songkream pisa huey ot bann paul proyorch avey sompuh Khmer = Khorm te. Arkun

  • To kumplergnthom that we don't need to komplergn with Khmer martial heritage.

If you remain sceptical, I am sure that you will be very satisfied to go to the Academy of Bokator.

Masters of mister SKS are so secret that we never see them, that we do not know nor their name, their club, their village or their city address. But you can learn authentic komplergnthom with mister SKS.

  • @komphor Master SKS lol he's fearing for his life for lying to the whole world. His time will come, I was there and met with president of sport comissioner and the chief of ministry of arts and cultures. They had so much things to say about all the masters and SKS himself. I've also seen and trained Kbach Kun Boran Khmer myself don't lie to me. Every Mae Kun and Sneat Kun, most of Yuthakun Khom styles are watered down or adopted from Tony Jaa's movies. Bokator of SKS, no comment!

  • I'm still skeptical about Oum Pum Nakry and Om Chan the way they held dombang bokatao which is almost to midway point. I would love to see it defend against a long staff because in some ways you can end up being the one with the disadvantage but Iono I only trained for 2 months and not a fan of kun dombang as much. Someone breakdown mae kun dombang if you can please?

  • CHEYO!

  • Good stuff - thanks for the enlightenment

  • Awesome. Cannot wait to learn more about Khmer martial arts.
