I don't feel the least bit upset about what happened to the kid. After the play a few ND players checked on him before celebrating (which NBC didn't show because of the celebration) and then his team surrounded him. It was a clean hard hit in the course of the game and was much more legitimate than what Washington was doing on kickoffs. They sent one guy to blindside one of the gunners and then the kicker and caused a concussion as well and got a penalty. Dirty football
But the lack of concern for a guy knocked out on the ground with a fencing response? Deplorable and horrible. It's a goddamn Catholic School. Care, I believe, is the operative word.
I was just wondering how you would feel if about ten people walked by you and you were laid out on the ground with significant trauma. Scratch that, if you watched yourself get hit in the game on youtube, watching players walk by you while you were sitting on the couch knowing that your dream of having an NFL career is possibly over.
Thats sports. And I do hope hes fine. Just don't drop the "Its a catholic school" bomb on here. people should be concerned no matter what religion your from. That said, From what I hear he should be okay... thus great hit. Hell, imagine if he was a boxer. Would you be jumping up and down after every knock out "THINK ABOUT HIS CAREER!!!" Come on now!
Well the POINT of Boxing is to knock people out. It's called a KO for a reason. Football's point is to get to the end zone and prevent the other team from stopping you. I'm sorry I included 'Catholic', but I included it as a non-catholic myself, not in any way saying I am more morally righteous.
A lot of us (the students) waited the three seconds before he rolled over to celebrate. At that point, it was clear that he was not paralyzed, and then he was surrounded by medical staff. You can't really expect football players to be able to identify a fencing response, especially at a moment like that. Also, I don't think that I have seen anything in college football that was "deplorable and horrible" since 2007.
I completlely agree. If someone gets hit that hard, people should be concerned, not only for his career, but for his own personal health. To be hit that hard by two people and then be out of it on the ground only to hear the crowd roaring is awful. Those fans should be disgraced. I'm all for supporting your team but at some point you have to draw the line.
They just won the game on that play! on course the fans are going to cheer. What you think they are all going to boo hoo after a game winning play? You sound like a weak-ass bitch
Damn, that was a vicious hit. Another movie reference comes to mind, "Double Tap"-Zombieland. I like the KTFO reference. Great timing with the Friday video.
This is one "voracious" video. =p
