Hey, yes normal paper works fine but you wont be able to get as many sprays out of it. If you plan to use the stencil more than once, its best to use a thicker paper.
yes. I dont think bridges would look good on that font and was not the style I was going for. The Os turned out fine in my opinion. As for the As and Rs, my gluing method works. I just messed up in a few spots from where I was in a hurry. It was starting to get dark and I wanted to finish up.
Hey! I painted a few layers of orange paint onto the shirt, and painted a few layers of white over top of it, only slightly up and to the left. Thanks for watching! :)
k dude i know i talk alot but just tell me one more thing....my friend lent me a couple of litres of good spray paint....i'll do a vid...but then
does the paint disperse in the washer...like im putting black paint on white...if that shirt goes into the washer, its not gunna leave black on any other shirt right (once i ironed it)
where do you find the 1-dollar spray paint? ive heard that they can be that cheap, but i can't find them any-f*cking-where! im in vancouver, bc, canada by the way.
all i can find is montana gold, which is like 10 bucks per can.
im thinking about switching to fabric paint, which is another alternative. and does spray paint stay on cloths after u wash it a few times?
lol...got the shirt, got the design, but no paint...
Have you tried checking department stores or home improvement stores? I don't know if they have Wal-Mart or Lowes in Canada, but those are good places to look. Any big department store should carry spraypaint.
I've washed my shirts a few times each and they've only faded a little. Fabric paint is more permanent, but it's a little more pricey. It's really up to you which on you choose. Good luck!
hmm...but the final product was kinda blurry around the edges though...i want a nine inch nails tshirt, but at the rock shop near where i live...one tshirt is like 20 bucks. and if you havent seen the nine inch nails logo yet, search it up on google images. its simple, yet so cool. i want to stencil my own logo but can u guarantee me that the edges will be crystal clear? :D
You should be able to do it pretty clearly. Instead of double sided tape like I suggested in the video, try using a glue stick to stick all the edges of the stencil to the shirt. It will wash out easily and works much better. If you're using a black shirt, it will take about 4 coats to really show up. make sure it dries completely between coats and spray about a foot away from the shirt. too much paint at one time can mess it up. just be patient and careful and it will come out looking clear.
I'd actually say that some of that isn't necessary, However, I then also thought about how most logo's don't use just words for their logos. Was kinda nice of you to put all those extra Safety precautions on there as well. And I'm fairly sure those are just things to set basic guidelines on.
As far as the vid itself goes, was good man. Though it'd have been better if you had a beard or something on after the 20 years later thing.

Will the logo or whatever gets painted on come off in wash or ironing?
officialphilosophize 3 years ago
eventually, yes. turn the shirt inside outwhile when you wash it and it should last longer.

Hand wash it two or three times first and after that it should be safe to put in the washer.
