I am an undergrad studying Comm. Disor's, & this field absolutely amazes me. I would love to learn more esp. on the diff. environments/locations SLP's can practice. I initially thought about going into private practice, but now I don't know whether I should consider more hospital/clinic settings or even school settings. If there are any SLP's out there that could give me any valuable info. or their own personal insight into this field, perhaps thru email,it would be really greatly appreciated!! :)
Are you a speech and language therapist? Do you work in Auckland and are you in a private practice or work for SES?
I'm a speech therapist in Chicago USA area, but worked in Auckland for 2 yrs in a child/adolescent mental health clinic! I actually learnt so much about autism fromm an OT there(Ann Christie)...I see lots of autistic preschoolers now in a school setting.
I enjoyed your videos (and the kiwi accent for a change!), are you going to make anymore? We have a wonderful SLT who comes to visit my son and ive also found some great ideas on youtube. It all helps :)
What a great job! You are really animated- a must for these kids to be successful! You do a great job capturing his attention, and it seems you love what you are doing. Thank god there are people like you for our kids!
My son has Pdd-nos and he loved watching this video. He laughed and laughed. He also watched it over and over again. You seem like a great teacher! That is Great!!
