Read Jeremiah 31;31,32 and see how that there is coming a time that the old covenant will not be as good as the new covenant. The character Jesus is nothing more than a mythical hero created in a final form by 1st century Jews based on a fairly new Jewish concept of a world saviour that was only really a couple of hundred years old. Other mythical heroes have existed in the same form as Jesus right back to Gilgamesh from the Babylonian Epic. Then we have the other mythical heroes like Krishna and Achilles, who all hold very similar stories to Jesus. Jesus is just a Jewish form of the mythical hero, with a Greek twist.

You know him as the Christ. His reserection was the close of the OT and fulfillment of prophecy. With that began the new covenant and the word of God in the NT. The OT is no longer relevant in Christianity beyond the very important fact that to truly understand the OT or NT you must also have the other.

Read Jeremiah 31;31,32 and see how that there is coming a time that the old covenant will not be as good as the new covenant. Not because there is anything wrong with the old, but becuse it could not make anybody perfect, only the new covenant can make someone perfect. Jesus said that his blood is the New Covenant. You have to study the NT to find out how it all fits together,read book of Hebrews.

The problem with such reasoning is that it assumes that time has always existed. In reality, time is a construct of this universe and began at the initiation of the Big Bang. A God who exists outside the time constraints of the universe is not subject to cause and effect.
