  • Cool, what key Chromatic is it?

  • High expectations asian father wants to see it played with 10-diatonic harmonica.

  • @denizkendirci not sure what you mean, but my parents don't care about my harmonica playing.... it was my own love for the instrument that made me practise....

  • @aikkie

it was not a personal comment. it was just another silly joke about "high expectations asian father" meme, sorry about that.

by the way i like your vid. keep your passion going.

  • @denizkendirci ha.. no worries... I sent that reply cause many people seems to assume that young Asians performing on stage have been imposed unrealistic expectations and was forced to go thru hellish inhumane training given by their lion dads and tigress moms....

Do check out my other videos...:)

  • @aikkie I'm sorry but I have to point it out. Since they're lion dads and tigress moms, are you saying that Asians are ligers?

  • Asian dad: Good, now play it backwards.

  • way to jazz it up...

  • Very nice....wondering how many blow notes are in the song?

  • wow, I've never heard this played on harmonica before, I didn't even think it was possible!

  • Bravo!!!

  • To people looking for SoldatSolutrea's comment, it's this "Well don't we have quite the model here. He plays a White man's instrument, dresses like a White man, and can write in a White man's language. Great performance, keep it up!" Basically them being a racist jackass and jealous of the fact that they cant do this.

In regards to the video now, that was awesome. Never heard flight of the bumblebee on harmonica and can now say it sounds amazing.

  • @Shadowassasin14 Haha thanks lol

  • Great now I have to look for SoldatSolutrea's comment -_-

  • this is great and your talented but im not sure how much i like this song on harmonica

  • This is awesome. I've been playing a diatonic in C and I was thinking how great it would be to play this, although I'm not so sure it will work as well if at all

  • Big harmonica, small man

  • Yeah, really

  • what are you doing with your finger on your right hand?

  • @pk11052000 the button is to raise the note one semitone higher. As this song is full of chromatic scale, I have to push in the button every other note.

  • @aikkie

aha i se it you play on a chromatic harmonica that is so hard to play.

but if you have the Harmonica notes for this can you please sent me them?

and very good good playing i love it very much.

    Cheers!

  • @pk11052000 that's actually the chromatic harmonica

  • @pk11052000 hes keeping time

  • @jdmisrcg he's playing a chromatic harp, there's a button on the side that raises each not a half step

  • @brooklynstudio ooooo u learn something new every day

  • @jdmisrcg yeah they're pretty cool

  • OH THOSE ASIANS

  • leave it to the asians to become more beastly

  • just wanna ask why does his finger go up and down??? it's amazinggggg

  • oh its flight i thought it was fight..

  • WOW. gosh!! fantastic... truly.

  • This sound at 0:42 - 0:48 is familiar to sound of "Introduction" by Paul Buckmaster. Great.

  • Brilliant

  • this harmonica sounds like an accordion . great job !

  • a bee flew into my room while watching this :/

  • i went out of breath just by watching him :s

  • Young man, you are not to be ashamed of that nice performance. You have many years left! Vibrato on this song is tough. Better tone = practice slower and holding notes and USE THE EARS...This gives dynamic musical expression. I want you to search Robert Bonfiglio, Jimi Lee, William Clarke. Listen to Jimi Lee's vibrato when he plays the 10 hole diatonic chromatically. Listen to Clarke's expression on Chromatic and Robert, well, he's a genius. Blend these 3 and you'll be a virtuoso too

  • @JohnLennoninmyGuitar it's HARMONICA not HARP! :D

  • @MrNeal013 sometime Harmonica is called Harp for short. Example.. Playing the Blues Harp, Cross Harp..

  • no soul

  • @flea03 for what do you need soul inTHIS tune??

  • @DannyGrease

just saying i find this style very boring. the harp should be playing some r and b.

  • amazing, you've got talent bro!!

  • why type of harp is that?

  • @JohnLennoninmyGuitar Looks like Chromatic 64

  • Excellent.

  • look at the virgin go!!!!

  • Thats one enthusiastic vagina...

  • Amazing, but it felt like you dragged a little.

  • all notes sound feel like staccato

  • i headbanged

  • awesome

  • No FUCKING WAY!

  • yo , u r malaysian? where was this performed?

  • Why r these comments so long? Lul

  • If you would be so kind, I can use a little help? With respect to your embouchure; are you using tongue-blocking or lip-pucker? I am not certain if I can ask this next question corectly. Given your harp is in C-major. Do you start playing on a draw note, which may be called cross-harp or G, or on a blow note which is most likely C? The Bee seems to sound better and flow smoother on the draw, but this might be my imagination. Hopefully your friend and fan, Eddie in New York.

  • I have heard them all and appreciate them all, from the classics to the note bending blues players. You definately have a TALENT and are not shy to play the difficult Bee and give it your best up on a stage in front of an audience which means you are an entertainer and a good one at that. Adler has always been my all-time hero on the harp, now I like Lee Oscar and a few others. If I have learned anything after about seventy years in the business, I know potential when I see it! Eddie in NY.

  • @Edtique

Thank you so much for your compliment and I am grateful that you like my video. However, my skill is nowhere near that of the Harmonica Legend - Larry Adler (though i like Tommy Reilly more :) ) My video above was simply a superficial display of moderate speed and accuracy, Larry Adler has tonnes to offer, musicality, tone, expression and even vibrato.... I am shameful to be compared to him....

Good luck with your practise Sir. It's a fun song to learn.. :)

  • @aikkie Great playing. I dont play harmonica, but I always appreciate musical virtuosity. I checked out Larry Adler and Tommy Reilly because of your mention. They are great... but what do you think of John Popper from Blues Traveller?

  • I am an old guy and have been playing the harp forever along with a few other instruments. To my recollection Larry Adler would not go anywhere near the Bee. The Harmonicats recorded a thing called "Beating the Bee" but that was just a slow boogie beat version. I resurected the sheet music for the Harry James version and am giving it a whack on the my Hohner harp and let me tell you this is going to take me some time to even get close to this asian kid even with all of his shortcomings.

  • An amazing performance! I don't think that Larry Adler could have played that. This feat should make Lee Oscar and the blues guy's nuts, no amount of note bending or out of tune overblows etc. etc. I can't play it so I won't knock it....I am fast but not that proficient, however I am going to take a whack at it. Incredible! Eddie in New York.

  • @Edtique

I'm sorry, but this is very, very far from Larry Adler class, or any proficient classic harmonica player. Note quality goes up and down, from awesome to mediocre. Some rythm hickups as well.

That wouldn't happen to Larry Adler.

Though, it is a very nice amateur performance, and with another 2000 or so hours of practice, it might get really enjoyable. The young man has talent, no doubt.

  • Thats pretty intense

  • What's he doing with his finger.

  • @noodnic This is a chromatic harmonica. You've got a button that shifts the pitch by a half-tone.

  • holy son of your mother!

  • O.O

  • Abomination.

  • wtf amazing O_O

  • O0O. Amazing.

  • @blasterstudios I can blow air into a girl better than he can. =/

  • @blasterstudios he is playing the phucking harmonica what is it with sex crazed people making everything about sex. Go to rehab!

  • @NinjightNationCorp come on , have a little sense of humor, and the sex its a very natural thing, ask freud, also the music its always related with sex, and the basic insticts inspire every thing. Thats why advertising always use images of people who the most people wants to have sex with,.. dont be afraid of sex ,. se x se x sex sex ,. look around you the buildings , the lamps , the cars. LOL, just have a little of sex to understand, that wonderful thing, .

  • im sad to say that you out shined my clarinet. sniff sniff. thats some amazing stuff right there lol

  • @SoldatSolutrea

One of the most retarded comments I've seen on Youtube

    and that's saying something

  • @albafro I'm confident in knowing that most people exposed to modern culture realize full well that it's as true as possible. If you say the facts are 'retarded' than I say that nothing is more retarded than ignorance towards racial matters of truth.

  • @SoldatSolutrea This guy <3 haters :)

  • @SoldatSolutrea well apparently so many people dissagree with you, that youve had your comment removed.
