I'm very sorry tha NBC blocked all this rare stuff from this play after so many years on YouTube. What is the reason? Do they think we make money with this amateur videos? It was so fun seeing those two ladies back together on stage. Sorry, that you can't take a glimpsy look anymore. Daniel Becket, Switzerland.
I would also add that in the book Glamour, Greed and Glory - Dynasty - there is the music for the theme - just thought the musicians among you might like to know. Great fun.
I am currently wading through Dynasty on DVD and when I started at episode 1 I was muttering about the theme tune - that it was a shadow of what it was in later seasons, however listening to this again I immediately appreciated the grand and sweeping nature of the earlier version. Sparcer but maybe more true to the concept. It was almost like as the show camped it up so did the theme music. That said as a musician myself I think the theme is one of the best ever written - it fitted completely.
@redmark19666 I wonder if it was made into a movie, if they'd get Joan & Linda to do it together, although from what I heard about their current fued, its doubtful... although... if they couldn't get Joan & Linda, I think it'd be uber awesome if they got Stephanie Beacham (Sable Colby) and Diahann Carroll (Dominque Devereaux) to play the parts; it'd be the Sable vs Dominique storyline we never got to see! And maybe Pamela Sue Martin (Fallon Carrington Colby) could play the maid. XD
I loved the "Dynasty" themes used in the end of this. First, the softer theme from the first season, then, the stronger version used in later seasons. Bill Conti is a flipping musical genius!!
daniel, I'll take your word for it, however, I watched "Dynasty" since childhood, and each season had different versions progressing to stronger and better arrangements . I promise you, both versions featured in your video here were used in USA. If you don't believe me, watch Season One, then, skip on over to Season Nine (final season). Better yet, listen to the opening of all the seasons.
Imagine forking out for this rubbish. Worst over-acting from Collin's as always. Linda seems more natural than JC. But the best bit was Joan's nasty diary entries about it after (bitter as ever).
Thank you so much for uploading these clips. I have been waiting for these quite a long time! I always love Linda Evans, not bad for her first stage play! And Joan had a very good timing. Thanks a million from the LAND OF SMILES!

The stripper thing is so tacky.
Other than that, it must have been a great show to look and laugh at.
They should have captured it on dvd.

One "theme" was from the US version of "Dynasty", the other was from the german version called: "Der Denver-Clan"

Thank you for this Info. On Monday, 21st September German Televison "TIMM" will start with Season One. I will listen carefully the intro.

daniel, You don't have to wait, just look it up here on YouTube. Search: Dynasty Season One Theme. All nine opening seasons are posted!!!
You can tell how the music started off very light and gentle, and then it gets more beautiful and stronger as the seasons went on.
