I've tried so many times to maintain an interest in Facebook but it always ends up with me being so tired of that stupid site that I close down my account. x) The last time I deleted it entirely. The problem is that Facebook promotes all of the things that Ross puts forth in his video, and promotes none of the things you bring to light here. Facebook doesn't really serve to 'make new friends' as the video implies as most of the people you ad to your friends list you will likely never meet in person or talk to outside of the first few days when the generic conversation is over and you realize you have nothing else to talk about. Good music & pretty funny video, i still disagree. I got off facebook 13 days ago (the matrix no longer has me), feels great not reading narcissist comments. In reality facebooks only good for 3 things that are in no way special to its site
1) promotion (bands/shops etc)
2) long distance relationship (family members)
3) following people who inspire you (musicians/painters whatever)
Now i sleep, read or exercise if bored rather than read about everybody elses ''perfect life'' & lament at mine.

Facebook doesn't really serve to 'make new friends' as the video implies as most of the people you ad to your friends list you will likely never meet in person or talk to outside of the first few days when the generic conversation is over and you realize you have nothing else to talk about. I agree, it gives people a voice alright... to make themselves out to be something they are not. Facebook is a virtual world where nobodies can fool people in to thinking they are somebodies..

Ahah so you say that Facebook is helping people developing their communication skills?!?! Social Networks are doing the exact opposite of that... People now prefer to hide behind an account instead of getting out there and actually meet someone. Instead of people meeting other people face to face and /actually) getting to know each other, in matters such as common interests or whatsoever, they prefer to place a like in a picture of someone that they never meet and will hardly meet...

I just wasted 6:29 of my time while I could drink a beer with my friend or go to fitness... FB makes people lazy. It's like a drug. People died because of this addiction, they wrote on their wall that they will took their own lives and nobody on FB cared...they even "Liked it"... Well not in real world. FB people suffer of depression, lack of real communication, in real life hardly makes a real friends etc...I've seen this on young people..
