  • Do you paint all of this in one layer, without waiting for it to dry, cause when I do that, area's keep turning out a dull brownish colour.

  • @Gnaeus1 Yes, it is all one layer, wet into wet. You can accomplish this with the correct amount and thickness of paint on your brush and most importantly the angle and pressure of the brush.

  • @seamusberkeley

Thanks, I'll keep trying. You're awesome.

  • If you liked that one, be sure to watch my other clips too.

  • you have a very unusual painting process that is intriguing. What do the black dots at the beginning of your paintings do? tell me what this is that you learned

  • Thanks for your comments. I'm working on a DVD that will explain a lot of the painting process.

  • the black dots are guide lines to determine where to place the objects. much like when you see a draaeing of a face the artist will divide the face up in to squares to determine where to place the eyes ect.

  • great job, very tight and sensitive

  • Thanks David.

  • Very beautiful. Its nice to see how the size of the canvas does not hinder the painting, how you handle the brushes. Very nice indeed.

  • well, you've another fan, but, I'll tell ya...

I couldn't tell how big the actual size was. (what the hey does that matter?)

    who cares.

Nice pic, seamusberkely! Definately gotta subscribe to ya!

  • what is the size of the canvas? it looks pretty small

  • It is indeed - about 6 x 5 inches. Fun to do these with bigger brushes. Check out the final at aberkeleydaily dot com.
