When we are being tickled something in our brains sends a warning throughout the body. Then when we realize were being tickled we laugh as a sign of relief. Thats why sometimes were not really ticklish because whoever is tickling us doesn't pose the slightest threat to us. That is why we can't tickle ourselves.
