at the first glace its good. At a second glace ...details are all wrong. I may not be able to draw that good, by my details match 98% of the original file. U missed his chin shape, nose shadow and mouth position, the right eye is a bit lower as if he is leaking. No matter what, the pupils need to be in a same line. You cant connect pupils on ur Naruto. But hey, practise makes perfect (I know it!)

@Kserijaro Oh of course, it's just an anime pic. I draw real portraits, and am quite adept at replicating proportion and shapes. I just don't worry about drawing to well when it's a cartoon. ^__^

@boi181818 Hm.... I can't remember, but looking at the video that does look like my blue lead holder. I only have 2H sticks for it, so I use it for sketching before laying down final lines.

@sinpro998 I learned by myself from practicing for years and years. I'm a lot better now than I was when I made these videos, and I started a series called "How to Draw Anime/Manga". I just uploaded episode 1, two days ago and it covers materials. In a few days the next video goes up with actual drawing involved. :)

@liketodraw @liketodraw I got these for my birthday as a pack, I think from either Walmart or Michaels (arts/crafts store). But after running out of these I took advice from an artist over 9000 times better than I am at drawing - I got PrismaColor pencils called "Turquoise". They come individually in art stores. They are the best pencils I've ever used, you should look around for those and try them out. If not, anything with "Derwent" on it should be fine, they are a great company.

Good, I'm happy they helped! You'll get better by doing it more. If you're just paying attention to how good they are you may not notice them getting better. But if you look at a drawing from a month ago and now, you should see if a difference if you were doing a good amount of practicing.

For this I used Derwent brand drawing pencils only because they were the only ones I had around. The only difference is drawing pencils let you make dark marks without having to press hard, or really light marks even if you do.

That comes with practice, eventually after using reference pictures to draw for a while you'll start to understand how lighting works. Soon I'll upload a better "how to shade video"

Dull your pencil. A lot. When the tip is flatter it makes wider marks so you don't have to make as many marks and it takes less time :)

hey your not the only i hate it too,one thing u can use is the light,when light is flashing sometimes not your entire face or body gets light ,depending on the position(or whats in the way of lighting) some will be clear and some will need shadow but depending on the position it may have light shadows darker
