  • oh my goodness..i want to have kids in about two years and this looks a lottt less scary than the dry birth i saw!!

  • I am pregnant how?? I dont wanna give birth its painfull

  • nice

  • good job

  • i seen a vagina

  • I am expecting in february, should i do ahead and do the water birth? Is it any less painful? This is so beautiful and so natural and amazing thx for sharing.

  • This was so peaceful. Id rather have a water birth then anything else! I dont plan on getting pregnant any time soon but when i do...this just may be what i will do!

  • @iloveglee614 i agree with you!

  • Thank you for sharing!

  • Just got the greatest news since finding out I'm growing a baby Ariyana Turner!! My insurance actually covers waterbirth!!! :D

  • did it hurt?

  • This is the first time I've ever taken the time to watch this. This appears to be so much more humane and gentle.

  • Actually homebirth is equally as safe as hospital birth, and in most cases safer. Obstetricians do more harm then good through routine procedures and manipulation.

  • @noraraes You say that until there's a complication... and even the most complication-free pregnancy does not a complication-free birth make.

  • I understand women who want to give a birth home, but don't you think it's better to be near doctors and nurses. You never know is there gonna be complications or not. Truth is that doctors aren't mostly gentle, but hey who can help you more than them. :)

  • I have no idea why i watched this. I'm a boy and don't plan on getting pregnant any time soon. Haha. Just interesting i guess.

  • I loved my water birth, Seth came out beautifully... Although I didn't have a pregnancy hypno cd... I had Jamiroquai's albums on repeat

  • Amazing

  • This was very informative but I still prefer hospitals.

  • why is she or he purple

  • so for hijacking this thread but MILITARY does pay for homebirthing!!! just if you are new and see this. My husband got to see everything over skype, was not able to be with us in person until 3 days later. I wish more people would do the research and make nformed decisions. For those who say negative things...if you are high risk, yes you should know the statistics and probably deliver with a midwife in a hospital. YOU have the power to say NO at anytime ..it is your body/ your baby!

  • It can be very peacful and relaxing for the mother. My daughter was able to come into this world without all the bussle of a team of people grabbing her up as soon as she was born. I was able to catch her myself and this was my FIRST child. I will do it the same way again for the next!!! I am so thankful people put these videos up! This is one reason I was set to do it even after my family had got done freaking out on me because THIS is what I wanted =) GOOD LUCK to all the soon to be moms

  • I just wanted to say almost a year I ago I posted a comment that I had aspired to have a water birth ..even before knowing it was really possible when I was young (as girls do most think of their wedding day..I thought of how to have a baby other than in a hospital..lol) anywho, I was able to have a realxing stress free, drug free HOME WATER birth attended by my mom grandma niece sister three midwives/doulas AND our dog! My husband who was overseas got to see start to finish the whole thing!

  • Awwww. The baby swimming was actually cute.

  • ^-^ aaaaw! pregnancy is a merical. wait what, over 100 baby's!? O_o

  • pregnency hurts

  • im not recommend this kind of giving birth you have go to hospital much better.

  • @teensxclusive What?

  • If you think someone with 2 years of schooling is qualified to address any number of complications during a delivery, from shoulder dystocia to a breach, more so than a physician who's trained the better part of 30 years, then you're deserving of such substandard care. I wonder how many children die from these complications and infections, that never get romanticized on youtube.

  • @undinescurse There is this thing called research. Most complications can be predicted-we call those high risk pregnancies and they aren't the ones having babies at home. Do you know how many babies and mothers have died in hospitals because 30 plus years of education hasnt saved them? Dr-assised deliver does NOT gaurantee a healthy mother and child. You wont see videos of those births on you tube either. (That is, videos of doctors screwing up a delievery and either patient dying)

  • water births are fantastic, I've had a waterbirth for both my children

  • Right Now I am 12, but when i am older an pregnant, i want to have a waterbirth. I totaly love itt!

  • I have giving birth in a hospital with meds and all that and I have been giving birth at home in water without any drug. And natural birth is THE BEST!!!! Cannot compare with hospital birth at all!!! Went so much easier and better for me and the baby! If I will have more children it will be in water or at home if possible!!

  • im surprised the baby didnt drown

  • @C00LM4N1112 why would you be surprised? Read up on fetal circulation. As long as the baby is attatched to the cord he//she gets their oxygen from the mother. Air on the baby's face is what stimulates it to take its first gasp. Its really pretty cool. Babies grow for months in water without drowning.

  • i didn't like that the midwives were so hands on. Let the Mum hold her baby, too many gloved hands all over the baby, just hands off and don't ruin the moment trying to make it yours.

  • wow that was fast!

  • Beautiful! Thank you educating me! The more water births I see, the more I support natural delivery!

Of course the College of OB/GYN's don't support this beautiful, safe form of birth. They make more money off of c-sections!

  • OMG!!!! This is so beautiful... wow, I hope to be able to give birth like this when I have the blessing of being pregnant... someday :)

  • your baby is inside your body where all that "nasty stuff is in the first place" water births are the way to go!!!

  • Ew i would never do that cuz u sit in all that nasty stuff

  • Omg I jus saw a c section nd a natural dry birth I got to say it scared the hell out if me!! But seeing this water birth was peaceful!! Thumbs up for water birth if I ever get pregnant this is what I'm going to do

  • @steffy224 if sothing goes wrong or not good then you might have no choice but not to have a water birth

  • IM Ready .....!

  • I would like to get a water birth when ever I get pregnent, but Im horrible with dealing with pain. :(

  • looks more relaxing than a natural birth but still am glade that im a guy looks to painful and i whish i was born underwater lol

  • continue: child I desided to not give birth in a hospital, I was almost desperate to avoid that.So I gave birth in water in a privat clinic wich was just like a homebirth since it was in a normal cosy appartment. And most importantly I was in controll of everything, with a midwife assisting me, not controlling me. and it was such a wonderful experience to be awake, not druged down and the birth was great! it took me 28 minutes before my daughter was out:)

  • When I born my first son at a normal hospital it kinda ruined the experience for me, they almost forced me to inhale that gas(im not sure what its called in english) and the were telling me "do this, lay like this, do that, dont, breath, breath noe bla bla bla" and it didnt feel natural at all as it should. it took 4 hours before he came out and the birth was ok,not terrible like i expected:p but the drug got me feeling so out of every thing, i hated that. when i was pregnant with my second....

  • It's really neat that this woman participated in this video. I'd kind of like to do something like this; watching this was very educational, and taught me a lot about water birth.

  • this video is awesome...i wish i wouldnt have gotten my tubes tied im only 22 and i thought i was making the right descision..but now i regret it

  • A baby born with love, and one more Momma discovers how amazing she truly is! I am another who has been forever changed by waterbirth.

I went into the water to give birth to my baby and came out reborn!

The water like a loving Mother cradled me, supported me, rocked me,kissed my skin & eased my pain, she held me in her protection reminding me that we are all children of the Earth. I connected with the elemental energy and flowed freely with the birth. There is no greater beauty than that!

  • im 15 and 7months pregnant, thinkin of a waterbirth. does it hurt less?

  • Im thinking of a similar birth plan as it look really relaxing and stress free. I think she handled it well and it shows how much the water helped.

  • @ChrisJustinParr So yes my opinion is still the same.

  • @ChrisJustinParr I wanted to breast feed my baby and I asked the nurses and the doctors could I please see my baby? They refused, didnt even offer to sit in with me so that my baby could breast feed. I asked for a breast pump atleast 4 times, I never got one... I stayed away from my baby for two whole days before they told me I was able to get off the medicine and see my baby. When the nurse who took care of the babies rolled him into my room she acted snotty like it was my falt.

  • @ChrisJustinParr My bf wound up having to go home and check on the house, he was taking a long time and I really wanted to see the baby, so I called him and he told me that while i was at the hospital the AC in the window was kicked in and some people broke into the house stole our TV, Computers and cable boxes. I started crying which brought my blood pressure up more.

  • @ChrisJustinParr I had my last baby on July 1st, I had pre eclampsia and after having the baby they sent me to the emergency department. Something about the enzyms in my liver were up and they had to give me this medicine that makes you sleepy, so they told me that they wouldnt allow me to be in the room alone with the baby for any length of time, because I might "do something" I dont know I guess fall asleep and drop him.

  • Why water birth is good???

  • i can see how this method would help. however i'v never had kids so i don't know. i do know that warm baths help with pms. it seems more natural .

  • Trust me!

  • I did water birth when I was 18 and it is a lot better than regular birth. Do water birth! U won't regret it!

  • Quick question where does the imbilical cord go when its cut does it go back inside you?

  • @ISHANN0N It shrivels up and dries and drops off, and that's how you get a belly button. Kind of like a scab, I guess. Gives babies time to form the new skin (belly button)

  • Comment removed

  • @ISHANN0N no it stays attached to the afterbirth which is delivered shortly after birth

  • that's so awesome! It'd be cool if the Daddy could get in there too! XD

  • Not that I will be giving birth any time soon anyways.. I have years to think this over. hehe

  • Wow.. that looks so relaxing. I'm definately going to consider this over a hospital if everything appears to be going smoothly. :)

  • @frodobaggins115 HOSPITALS MAKE IT GO ROUGHER IN SHORT THIER &GREEDY BASTARDS THAT DESTROY NATURE FOR MONEYS LIKE ANYFUKN BISNESSS

  • This seems so much nicer and less stressful for the mom and child. Im having serious thoughts about water birth when im ready for a baby.

  • @Bo0skiesz me too me too!

  • Im not sure where I'd want to give birth or if I want to give birth underwater, thank God I have a long time to think about it. Is waterbirth still safe for teenagers?

  • i want a water birth for my fourth child i have never seen a mother so calm during labour and a baby born so calmly its fantastic...no drugs..WOW!!

  • 1. Thats very cool. Super awesome.

    2. The baby came out calmer and cleaner then any birth I've seen personally.

    3. My heater kicked in right as the baby came out. So I got that hot dusty burned smell. I thought I was going to vomit. But tis a baby and cute. >.<

  • i love this video, she made it look so easy...........quite inspiring compared to some of the others iv seen.....well done!

  • i think i would like to do this.

  • is water birth safe?

  • Ewww

  • that look quite soothing im having an waterbirth in 2 weeks

  • it looks so relaxed im having a waterbirth in 2 months

  • I hope your water birth goes great!

  • My OB said she cant birth me in water because she is not strong enough and doesnt think she and a few nurses will be able to lift a 230 lb woman from a tub- and that made me feel threatened by her and so im forced to do it in stirrups.

  • She was very calm and relaxed during brith, and i was shocked on how clam and quiet the baby was, great job! :)

  • i think it seems unnatural to give birth in a hospital lying down! i mean think about it. it jst defy`s gravity.

  • It've very sad how ignoran some of these posts are tough...Probably the same kind of people who think breastfeeding is gross and somehow sexual.

  • Oh wow... thas makes me sure of wating a natural water birth so much more! I hope mine goes as smoothly :)

  • I am 6 months preggo & I think water birth is a great way to deliver :)

I'm actually debating whether or not I will go through with it... Its something to think about!

Hopefully, my delivery goes as beautiful as the woman in the video did!

  • wow everything went so smooth baby was fine mother it looks a lot better than a hospital

  • It is a sadness that women have been told that this is a "private" act and discouraged to share.. this is why so many women have been duped into thinking they HAVE to have a hospital birth.. keep telling the stories and showing the TRUTH... it is time we share and stop this insane movement in the way "traditional" births have been going.. thank you for sharing this..

  • whats with all the internals?? so unnecessary

  • was that dark person a man? no offence..

  • @YouCantHack1 Nah i think it was a bald woman :S

  • @YouCantHack1 O_o it was a woman with short hair. Wtf.

  • @tnbabygirl Those people don't EXPLOIT their birth, they have agreed to document it in order to aid people. And I'm not against christianity or any religion whatsoever but we as humans have been gifted with the ability to *think* by God. And that ability allows us to comprehend water birth is both safer and less painful for the woman giving birth and the baby.

  • @tnbabygirl God gave us the resources to have a more comfortable birth, so she is just taking advantage of that.

  • that is cool. it looks soo soo easy!!!

  • The lady says, "I always find the babies look more relaxed and calm" as the baby comes out with the umbilical cord wrapped around it's neck, blue from oxygen starvation. I'm not going to let a hippy midwife my child.

  • @Grundalizer the point is the midwife is trained to know how to handle that, if she were as bad as you say then she wouldnt have unwrapped the cord like a professional doctor.

  • @Grundalizer it is safer than a hospital where you are on your back and you have tons of drugs pumped into your body. If you have netflix watch the documentary The Buisness of Being Born.

  • Humans and their ancestors have been giving birth on land for millions of years, I don't see why water is a better choice?

  • That is awesome! I will definitely consider this the next time I give birth! I heard that, unfortunately, most insurance companies don't cover this. :(

  • I had to watch this video for Health Class, and as immature as this sounds, the baby looks like a zombie. just saying but I hope it lives a long happy life

  • This is the best video that I have seen on water births. Thank you so much for sharing it. I am considering a water birth for our first child.

  • @tnbabygirl

Please tell me how delivering in a hospital with blinding lights down on you, doctors all around you pumping drug after drug (which can cause you baby to go into distress) and then an unnecessary cesarean is more natural than a water birth? Please tell me, oh wise "nurse".

Also why should we treat every labor as if it could end up in a cesarean when only a small percentage of pregnancies actually NEED them? Majority cesareans preformed today are from unnecessary interventions.

  • @tnbabygirl I think its nurses like you that make women chose home births, you are pretty much like most nurses i have come in contact with, they treat people with little respect and have nasty attitudes in general.

  • @LyeLye No nasty attitude just been thru more delivery emergencies and difficult pregnancies. It is very risky to put yourself in this situation. Even in an operating room under the most controlled conditions things can go south in the blink of an eye. Not as pretty and simplistic as protrayed here.

  • @tnbabygirl This is just why every women i talk to wants a home birth, because of bad experiences with nurses and doctors.

  • there are competant and nice nurses such as me:) and im sorry for you to have had a bad experience with the wrong nurses in the past:(

  • @tnbabygirl Women have been giving birth for hundreds of years without the help of medical staff. And water is a natural way to relax the mother, soften the vaginal walls for easier delivery, and is a natural pain reliever. Sure, things can go wrong. But things could also go wrong with eating, You may choke on your food. Does that mean we should all eat at the hospital?

  • @tnbabygirl Also, the medicine that hospitals give laboring mothers to speed up the process of birth (Pitocin) causes harsher contractions, which causes more pain for the mother, and results in an epidural for the pain, which slows down the process of birthing. And because hospitals are so picky about time, they continue this process until the baby is out. So the hospital sets up these "risks" themselves, and decide most of the time to give the woman a C-section 'cause they don't want a lawsuit.

  • @LyeLye What country are you living? Nurses are some of the most compassionate people in the planet, and I know this because I've known a lot of people who've died. Maybe you should move out of the piece of shit city you live in.

  • @DanimalLawlz America, Charlotte NC. Oh and the nurses in VA, newportnews were pretty rude to.

I think after having the job for so long some people just become bitchy and dont care anymore because they do the same thing every day they lose their compassion. Or those women that treated me bad and the women that made my friends feel like crap for choosing not to breast feed were just jerks in general.

  • @tnbabygirl

there isn't much natural about sticking a huge needle in your spinal column or cutting open a uterus...I'll just let my body do what it will do on it's own, like breathing. I don't stop it. That would be idiotic.

  • is APGAR SCORING obtained on this mode of delivery?

  • thats what i want to do for my next baby =) thanx for sharing this!

  • I would have my baby sitting in a lake w clean water!!

  • I've had 4 water births and am planning on having my 5th in July. It is so relaxing for mom and baby and the baby never arrives screaming and flailing around. It's very calm and serene. And the water is great for pain management too.

  • @MsChris710 Did you have your first one under water too? I'm considering as well, but I'm a little scared for the risks even if there are none. This video may seem like a tiny bit of propaganda so what is your personal experience? Thanks :D

  • I'm doing a water birth in early october.

  • im planning to give birth this september.i wish it will be as easy as i see.. :)

  • made it look so easy... i wish they would have let me stay in the water....

  • What is the thing they shoved up her women spot?

  • G8 video....

  • beautiful...no drama

  • pinanganak sa tubig

  • This is absolutely amazing. I am having (or hope to be having) a water birth. This woman did sooo well. I hope to have near the same experience.

  • @missnewthought: keep in mind that she had had 3 children before hand..

  • guys should worship the ground we walk on we go Thu so much. giving birth and carrying a child is very serious.

  • Pretty interesting how easy that looked for the mother.

  • I wanted to have my first child by water, but my daughter had other plans. She didn't want to come out and so I had to be induced. The mother was in control, Congratulations!!!

  • So how did they discover this method? I mean was someone actually crazy enough to try it without knowing if the baby could breathe or not when delivered?

  • @ukijhu97 the baby is always surrounded by liquid when they are in the womb. Its when air hits their face that they take their first breath. its totally safe for the baby to be born this way seeing as how they go from an 'underwater environment' to a new 'underwater environment' before they are brought up. Plus they arent just left under water after they are born. They get pulled out pretty quickly.

  • @katsy1988 ok. That doesn't explain why someone would be willing to be the first to risk it.

  • This is just amazing! very reassuring to see a birth video that is so calm!

  • wooow amazing congratulations!!! :")

  • She was really calm....

  • WOW!!! That is amazing

  • i planed a water birth with my 2nd but he came to 2 fast thay didt even get chance to fill the pull lol

  • OH MY GOD ..

  • u have to pay to get a water birth?

  • @allison0248 You pay for a hospital birth too

  • ...not to mention the blood spreads out in the water. It will look like a cloud. This video was great!

  • i dont think id be brave enough to do it natural :( but good for anyone who is brave enough to do it. :)

  • i had a water birth for our first baby boy! it was a wonderful experience. less pain, less pressure, safe and quick delivery! awesome!!

  • @gurlHan wow i so want that when i have a child.. =)

  • @PiousPrincess i planned for that b4 i get pregnant and it was amazing experience...;-) you have to be brave enough to do it so you'll gt a good result.

  • Hmm @the comment below, well, it WAS done in the water, so more blood etc would come out, when I get a nosebleed, I put my nose in water and more blood comes out, it's alot easier for blood to go in a liquid than the plain air(theoretically)

  • Look at 5:30 all the blood this didnt happen to me when i gave birth i only lost a bit o blood X

  • I'm not sure if I would do water birth, But when I get pregnat (hopefully), I will consider it.

  • i wish nsurance paid for water birth :(

  • @360Nomad how so? money can be saved when there's less intervention..

  • am glad that i am a man

  • that was pretty awesome

  • My twin had water birth and so did my little brother. Both one month apart. I will do this too in the future.

  • no that was a woman, just looked like a man

  • it look lie water birth is more easy then nature

  • @SECERTLOVE1 wat the fuk is yer idea of "NATUR" some propaganda from docters that lying on yer bak wile superconstipated is better cause they gets ta rip somemoey ofoyoo by twisting anatural bioevent and declaring it a medical emergency, seriosly asking a docter wether u needdrugs/sugeery is like asking a scamartist (CAR?DRUG?SURGEERY EDEELR)wther need a new car

  • This makes me want to be a midwife all the more. And actually provide woman with the opportunity for water births

  • ikr...

  • lol

  • I am pregnant and very interested in having a water birth, videos like this one makes me all that more confident about having a water birth, she seemed like she was hardly in any pain!

  • I cried~ absolutely beautiful!

  • How do you push?

  • When it comes time to do it, your body just knows how to do it...

  • Wow why do you even ask that

  • Beautiful

  • anyone wanna get married and have babies?
