I think Beck and Palin had a good, rational discussion. I appreciated what was said about calling both the Democrat and Republican parties to task (trust and principles),listening to the voice of the people, govt's inability to handle health care, violation of the 10th Amendment, etc.

The states determine if you go to jail for a traffic ticket . They also say you have to carry insurance on your car . But you don't go to jail for not paying it . If a bill hasn't come out yet, then you have to be against it. You can't say 'yes' to something you haven't read. You might think "well you can't say 'no' to it either" but if you had to vote, at least a 'no' isn't going to deprive anyone of anymore than is already the case. A 'yes' preconditionally agrees to an infinite amount of spending, control, and taxes. Now the bill could be a decent bill that would repeal past errors...but I'll take my chances given the current trend in Congress.

Hmm. Thats funny cos last i checked your country had the banking issues.. healthcare issues and huge deficits and debt. Where i come from we have a public healthcare system, and a private one. A publicly owned banking system, and a private one. A public postal system, and a private one. All of which do very well. The public banks keep the private banks in check, as they offer very competitive rates and dont have outrageous interest rates. I use both public and private healthcare. Cost vs speed.
The difference is that Exxon is not really private, so by "adjusting some things" she means (I think) changing some of the already governmental aspects of the corporation. In fact, in order to become a corporation in the first place, government privilege is needed. So it's not about imposing new regulations and taxes on private business, but changing government institutions overall. That is why "challenging" the Fed is fine, because it already holds a government-granted monopoly.

I think Beck and Palin had a good, rational discussion. I appreciated what was said about calling both the Democrat and Republican parties to task (trust and principles),listening to the voice of the people, govt's inability to handle health care, violation of the 10th Amendment, etc.
About the pauses and soft tone, would you rather they yell at each other? Palin was positive and had a message of hope, not giving up, and encouraging people to make a positive change in our country.

If a bill hasn't come out yet, then you have to be against it. You can't say 'yes' to something you haven't read. You might think "well you can't say 'no' to it either" but if you had to vote, at least a 'no' isn't going to deprive anyone of anymore than is already the case. A 'yes' preconditionally agrees to an infinite amount of spending, control, and taxes. Now the bill could be a decent bill that would repeal past errors...but I'll take my chances given the current trend in Congress.

Hmm. Thats funny cos last i checked your country had the banking issues.. healthcare issues and huge deficits and debt. Where i come from we have a public healthcare system, and a private one. A publicly owned banking system, and a private one. A public postal system, and a private one. All of which do very well. The public banks keep the private banks in check, as they offer very competitive rates and dont have outrageous interest rates. I use both public and private healthcare. Cost vs speed.

The difference is that Exxon is not really private, so by "adjusting some things" she means (I think) changing some of the already governmental aspects of the corporation. In fact, in order to become a corporation in the first place, government privilege is needed. So it's not about imposing new regulations and taxes on private business, but changing government institutions overall. That is why "challenging" the Fed is fine, because it already holds a government-granted monopoly.

Oh noooo....I am FAR from perfect......I am a normal person who grew up poor with good morals and in a disfuctional family but had enough sense to know right from wrong even though I didn't always do the right thing...I am someone who loves my family and is very much in to tradition and keeping those traditions alive....
