I really like how this isn't a violent fight scene, it lets us see their relationship. Most deaths involve a brief struggle with Wakefield and his victim before Wakefield kills them, occasionally bystanders are present but can do nothing to help but for this they were isolated victims and no one could help them. It shows that you can't save everyone.
