  • @itchyundies Yes

  • i have erevo tires on my summit. should i buy summit tires or buy 2 new lipos?

  • which is best? revo 3.3 or summit?

  • @MrIver97 summit

  • Summit

  • can anyone tell me what truck is bigger. the e revo or the summit

  • @jumpinrustlers summit by quite a bit

  • @jumpinrustlers based off of the same platform, summit just has more ground clearance.

  • $450? from where?

  • get the metal driveshafts their $55 but they last a life time. i was crawling with my summit and it rolled down the rock mountain i made and went from 4wd to 2wd because the front driveshafts snapped. cheap ass plastic

  • what do you think is better hpi savrage fulx or summit

  • great vid man thank you

  • awwww shes a good driver! xD

  • drive it like a pro

  • the summit owns the axial in everything exept crawling, its the most versitile rtr by far

  • awsome vid. hey whats the music? I've got a slash 4x4 and a E-maxx, and this truck will hopefully be next. you just can't beat the ruggedness you get with traxxas gear. Oh btw you can use li-po batteries if you quit using them before they get below 20% or so. Its mostly guesswork though, and it is hard on the batteries. pretty good for a stock truk huh?

  • @americantorino what do you man by the lipo battery thing? and which one would you reccomend more, the slash or the emax? 1/16 or 1/10?

  • @PhillieBRidin honestly the emaxx is the most fun truck i've ever owned. as for 1/10 vs 1/16, for me its 10th scale all the way, but apparently the little trucks r pretty rugged too. lipo batteries are severely damaged if you dischage them all the way down, which is why lipo-ready esc's come with a lipo cutoff that prevents the voltage from getting low enough to damage the battery. if you can guess when the batteries reach this point, you can change batteries and avoid costly damage to ur batt.

  • it shows how great traxxas procducts are and that they serve there points if you look you can see the little girl anticipating it to fall when climbing about a 85degree angle and makes it.It is truely a great crawler and bashing vehichle...subscribe please

  • does it has a brushless motor or u have to get it upgraded

  • It comes with a 775 can brushed motor. You have to upgrade using an 8th scale brushless motor and esc. castle makes a Mamba Monster Max system for around $250 to $300 which would also allow you to run lipo and gives you drag brake options.

  • can i use summit wheels for ma elec stampede

  • '

i wish want this traxxas summit but price is wrong,,,

how come america never make it this summit

  • i got my summit today and it is awsome. cant wait to beat it like yours;D:D:D

  • Very good video

  • is the independent suspension better than having live axles in regard to articulation/traction?? im building a crawler with independent suspension and would lke some insight. thanks :)

  • has any one tried to cut the main power leads to the lights a solder in a switch or just un plug them

  • I have to laugh sometimes at the Nitro Freaks out there yelling go nitro...sure its a nice system but in this truck it would so limit its capabilities alot as far as submerging and/or playing in deeper water...I prefer electric for the waterproofing, but that is just my opinion. Nitro is wicked fast but I think you can have better throttle control with elec.

  • great vid gotta love the summit!

  • i have a summit and it is awsome

  • ive installed 35 led lights not counting the 10 that come from factory an its a beast at night im running 4 9v batteries to run all 45 leds an it usually last me about 2 weeks at full power so i dont burn up my internals 2 keep the power on the wheels an my internals now last me about 1 to 2 hours whiout changing batteries its prety kool

  • nice video. is the summit better than e-revo

  • Summit is better at pseudo-crawling/trail-running. E-Revo is better at racing and jumping.

  • don't get one of these. get an Axial AX10, they are better

  • Better at dedicated crawling? Yes.

Better at bashing and jumping? No.

Really they are used for different purposes so just buy one of each if you can afford to and have the desire.

  • I own both, and 100% agree with you kulangflow... Well put.

  • @kulangflow i would get a summit

  • hey man very nice video!! i love traxxas summit!!

  • Only thing about the summit is you can't turn off the lights

  • i saw a video where some one pulled all the wires out and put a micro switch on em

  • install a micro switch from radio shack. or that's what im going to do.

  • @sk8m8d8 on the newer trucks there is a plug you can just unplug the front and back ones

  • @sk8m8d8 as if they needed another servo....lol

  • @baconator127 what are you talking about?...... I never posted a comment about another servo I think you got the wrong person

  • ok i have a Losi crawler, a Axial SCX 10 and a summit and by far the Summit is the most fun with less repairs batters last 2 hours if im just crusing the trails or rock crawling and yes its a good crawler bashing hard batteries last 45 minutes so i carry backups batteries $50 each 4500mAh (needs 2) car $450 and worth it, save your money and get one you wont regret it

  • Really enjoyed that. Wanting to do a crawl video with mine. Thanks for sharing.

  • I remember when mine use to do that.. lol

  • cool...nice video! sick beat where can i get this song?

  • im thinking about getting one how much do they cost and r they water proof?

  • Around $450. Yes, they're waterproof. Very fun trucks.

  • @kulangflow $450!!! i couldnt find one for under $600. did you buy it used? and if not where did you get it for $450?

  • @rccrawlers there around 600 now

  • its 2 feet long =)

  • q velocidade meu deus nooxxaaaa

  • summits are good looking trucks

  • how long does the battery last?>

  • How Fast Does This Thing Go?

  • 20mph

  • The song goes right with it. Where did you get it and what is it called?

    Im getting this truck.

  • is it electric

  • Yes, its electric.

  • oh ok nvm aint gonna get it cost to much at my store it cost 900bucks yicks

  • nice video really nice job

  • sick!!!!its so epic

  • i like that the body looks scale but the tires are just to far out, dont get me wrong its a very nice truck,i had the S-max 2.5 changed over to a 3.3 it was sick got rid of it thoe,,now i have the AX 10 scorpion and i like it alot it dosnt break as much as my S-Maxx did maby because it only does 1/2 a mile a day LOL.........

  • nice vid even your daughter looks like she can tackle some rough terrain!

  • Nice video;D Where did you bye it?

  • try ebay

  • love this song, name please??

  • How reliable is the summit?

I heard bad things about the diffs??

  • I'm using a pair of 5000 mah batteries in mine. Lock/unlock the diffs under slow speed with very low power or stopped. I shift them often as I like to transition often from rough and smooth terrain. Plus, with the front diff locked, you can't steer well. I can twist the vehicle off the ground on one tire. I have heard of steering servos going bad. I did have that problem. In low range with the 5000 batteries, I get just over 1 hour of run time on a stock vehicle. (Squeaks are common and normal.)

  • thats a cool truck. im thinking about getting one

  • hey i red ur review and wached ur video but i didnt see the diff dragin except when u where goin over the tall rocks

  • just wondering if anyone knows if the summit body will fit tmaxx???

  • these rigs are slick. i threw a mamba monster and Neu castle 2200kv in mine, its insanely fun at high speed/torque. i put the titan in during the winter for snow bashing with some paddle tires

  • ive got a slash with a 6 cell and 2 7 cells

  • 500 DLS APROX

  • price?

  • 500$

but on ebay you can find some used ones for around 350$ to 500$

the 350$ ones are still in good condition too

  • nice job i was thinking about getting one but there $500 and i can do the same thing with my s-maxx just not as smooth

  • Just wait for a used one on eBay so you can get it on the cheap. I would be really surprised if an s-maxx could make it up the same lines smoothly or not. :-) Sometimes the video doesn't make it look as difficult as it really is. Plus the s-maxx doesn't have remote-locking diffs. Get a Summit!

  • but is the S-Maxx waterproof? does it have remotely locking differentials? that said, is it 4 wheel drive? does it have 2 gears, one for speed and one for torque that are also controlled via the remote? or is it powered by the Titan 775, the most powerful Motor on the Electric market? all are no's because yours is gas powered. youre complaing about price. youll pay that much over time just by fueling your Nitro. all im saying is that youll get more out of a Summit than you will out of any Nitro.

  • great video I want to get one now

  • I Love the way u Crawl !!! It s like real and in full control , not like some other that put the trigger in full throttle and espect that it will pass !!! Superb vids !!!!!!!!

  • As said before this is 1 of the sweetest summit video's on youtube and you know how too crawl the summit slowly just right.

I love the song on this vid,can you remember how the song is called?

  • graet truck!!

    I have the summit too!!

    my vids will come soon

  • independent axles are quite nice, gives a lot of clearance

  • they should make a 1/16 scale summit. =)

  • AMEN

  • i was just thinking that

  • you should climb those wood steps!!!

  • how long does it last on one charge?

  • depends on what batteries you decide to use...

  • i have th exact same truck. i love it, i made my tires where they would hold water for stricitly crawling and climbing and it does so much better. the incline is much better dosent flip bacwards as easy and better grip. and 1st gear is plenty strong enough to pull

  • does it come with a battery and charger and how long will it last on a full charge

  • You need to buy 2 batteries and a charger and the charge time depends on the battery and how you use the truck.

  • No problems at all! Go buy it!

  • the traxxas summit costs about

    $500.00

  • nicely done video, b- day coming up and dropping hints we shall see. I love this truck becuase is an atv. best of both worlds in one truck !

  • how much do this costs??

  • i really want one now

how long do you get from the 8k lipos?

  • that would be cool if you put a velineon system in that

  • If I really wanted to go brushless, I'd go with something significantly more powerful than a Velineon system. :-)

  • what would you go with? a MMM?

  • Either an MMM or the new Tekin RX8 for an ESC. I'd get a really low kV motor (possibly an outrunner) and run higher voltage (5-6s).

  • I was once very addicted to RCing. However, I got out of it a while back and just started getting back into it.

What battery's are you running? You're a very good driver.

  • Thank you for the compliment!

    I'm using 2 x 2s True-RC 8000mAh 15C lipos.

  • This is the best summit vid I have seen! I know what you mean by people driving badly and complaining, it really irks me, to.

  • This is just an add-on to my previous comment. Most of the driving i would be doing is like the fast driving you were doing in this video, so I guess my question is which do you htink is better suited for that part of the video, the e-revo or the summit? Thanks for any help.

  • The faster stuff is done better by the E-Revo.

  • Just one final thing. Do you find that you ever wished the e-revo had more ground clearance?

  • No. The ground clearance does great for the terrain on which I drive.

  • I know when my cousine wants hi e revo to have more ground clearance

when he's over 15ft in the air landing on hard ground as so to absorbe it better lol

  • just get ready to pay arround $950 if you want the e-revo to perform at the best of its ability

  • Nice crawling! just a question, i've heard and red in the forums that mainly the rear and front axles always breaks so fast? did you ever experience that? and do you have to be completely stopped to be able to change gear ratios? and lock the diffs? so far, is your truck still okay when you just drive it like that? and how do you contrast between e-revo and summit? or mgt 8.0 if you're familiar... Thanks! nice video...

  • I have still not broken a single part on the Summit despite insane bashing. People that are breaking things are likely not very good at driving or don't know how to properly care for their vehicles.

You don't need to be completely stopped to switch from 1st to 2nd, but it's better if you are. You really should be stopped to go from 2nd to 1st. You absolutely have to be stopped to lock or unlock the diffs.

I love my brushless E-Revo and the Summit. I use them for different purposes.

  • How well do you find the Summit does on fields and grass and such, as well as roads? Do you find it comparable to the e-revo? Or do you think the e-revo is better for that kind of stuff? Bearing in mind i would mostly be driving on fields and maybe some rocks.

  • i love the new summit its just so cool

  • Not bad crawling. 1 of the best I've seen on youtube.

  • How quick would you be able to go up these things...well see i live in the desert in the middle east......i wanna know if this thing would be able to climb dunes....like sand dunes....i mean the only way ur gonna get up a dune here is relatively fast and throttle all the way up......is this the one for me?? i have a revo 3.3 and at the moment i broke a diff but in general this thing can take on pretty much anything...For dunes and stuff is this thing any good or should i just stik wid my revo?

  • You should probably get a 1/5 as these things only get up to around 20 or 30 mph

  • This truck in stock form only does mid 20's at best which might not be quick enough for dunes. I don't know for sure though.

You can always upgrade it to brushless though and it would be even faster than your 3.3 Revo.

  • be careful about upgrading. If you don't change the stock tires, they balloon and blow out if you go much above 20

  • uhh... do you have any idea what youre talking about?

  • Give it a little time, wait until it starts breaking diffs all the time. Used mine 4 times, on my third set of diffs. Not beating it either. traxxas sends me new ones, but wtf. $500. I am already tired of changing them. I cant believe you havn't had this problem yet...............

  • No need to give it a little time. I'm one of the first people to own one and I've bashed the heck out of it since I got it.

No problems whatsoever. Perhaps there is something you're doing wrong?

  • what kind of batteries are you running in your truck and what kind of run time do you get?

  • niec vid and edeting

  • that is the sweetest vid of a summit ever

  • Nice video. I am awaiting my 2 to get to myself and my son. It appears I may never break out the Losi B2 again.

    Mike

  • Nicely produced. Good mix of slow and fast action.

  • THAT SUSPENSION IS CRAZY

  • good video

  • Very cool vid man, good dricing too!

Tighten up that rear end though, it is sagging waaaay too much.

  • Thanks. My wife keeps telling me the same thing. lol :-)

  • XD XD XD

  • good driving

  • 5 stars from switzerland =D

  • Have some fun and tell people you wanted a Summit, but had the rocks put in first so you would have something to crawl over and watch their faces !! I got my Summit a few days ago and it's amazing, worth every penny. Some people walk their dogs, I walk my HPI E-Savage and now Traxxas Summit (no leash) in the gorgeous so. Arizona desert. Very good video and really good driving as in not hyper and gerky but smooth and precise. Yours should last a long time driving like that. Thanks for sharing !!

  • One of the best vides iv'e seen

  • Thank you!

  • Yeah, and the stock tires are REALLY big, so that gives it some extra ground clearance for quick climbing. However, going at really high speeds would cause those tires to balloon way to much.... so the stock high speed is probably just about right.

  • awsome video man,how is the speed in high gear compared to a e-maxx?looks right around the same speed.

  • It's geared lower than an E-maxx, so it's actually slower. It is fast enough for hill-climbing though and does it quite well.

  • Verry professionall made video!

    Germany : 10 points

  • Nice crawling and camera skillz there. Great vid 5/5!

  • hey great camera work and good driving

  • Hey, this video is amazing! Who did the camera work for this? They should consider making a career out of it. Nice vid kulangflow, 5 stars.

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce Leo the filmer!

  • Thanks for sharing the video.. I have a yellow summit and so far have only been able to run it in the snow.. Very Impressive rig.

    Dontcare4urshoes

  • looks like your lucky man to have the big rock in your front yard nice video

  • kool truck , to bad i cant afford one =( but i still have my ax10 =)

  • Really nice Video! I hope to see the Summit goes up a wet and rocky brook !(nasses und steiniges Bachbett)

    thanks!

  • great vid music is annoying...im gettin a blue one as soon as i can.

  • Yeah, I wish I could have kept the original music. Blue is a great color, but I wish it would have come in black personally.

  • sweet vid, nicely done

is it worth the price tag???

  • Absolutely.

  • Sweet! I loved how you showed most of the features too (locking diffs, low gear vs high, etc). Summit's awesome!

  • awesome ... o.O

    whats the song name?

  • The song is just a random one provided by YouTube in their audio-swap function. It's under "Instrumentals", but I forgot what it was called.

  • Thats probably the best video Ive seen yet of the Summit. I like the music you used even if it was not your first choice, as you mention in the forum. Im going to add this video to my favorites. 5/5

  • Comment removed

  • SUMMIT IS THE BEST!!!

  • best Summit vid i've seen so far!! good job and nice truck, im really stuck at the moment to buying one but this vid sure pushed me towards the "yes buy it" haha. now being it is a type of crawler, i do understand it needs real soft suspension, but can you raise the rear at all? it squats quite low.

    5/5 :)

  • The rear definitely squats too low. I've already purchased new stiffer springs. Thanks for the ratings!

  • Mine was soft and squating to low for my taste, so I just turned the knurled wheels on the shock threads to stiffen the springs and it sits all the way up now and still crawls well. Try this, you might then not want stiffer springs as this adjustment is what that does. Use the shock wrench included and be careful not to loosen the shock body from the top cap or you will leak oil out the top. Hold shock body with wrench and turn ring with fingers or needle nose. Mine was tough but do-able.

  • You raise the rear, and or front, by using the included shock wrench to hold shock body and turn knerled wheels lower to stiffen springs. Don't loosen shock body from cap like I did by mistake or oil will ooze out. Mine sits all the way up, still crawls well and looks cooler without that mushy, lower look. Summit is amazing, love mine. Hope you get one soon and have a blast !!

  • good job, looks fun ^_^
