  • Fuck man, Mine must be old as hell if that things from the 60's.

  • djnp on ebay has a pedal for one of these ending Aug 29, 201118:58:18 PDT

  • I so regret I didnt keep this amp...But I wouldnt have the money to do the maintenance mine needed...Sigh.

  • nice amp but way too much reverb for me

  • @spicecrop you can tone it down to a much more reasonsable level with the reverb knob. it's not fender reverb, but it still sounds great.

  • she's a babe!

  • i have this amp...it was given to me two years ago when i first started playing....didn't appreciate it much...but now i really do...still kicks and everything...this thing is older than i am...

  • how high is the clean headroom on the amp?

  • What speaker is/was in this? It sounds great!

  • that neverending tremolo is so frickin annoying

  • Beatiful.

  • i had one of these but the speaker was making a buzzing sound behind every note I played and it was very muddy so I returned it and got a blues junior.I love the blues junior, but I plan to buy one of these that's in better condition in the future.

  • that tremolo is od it sounds like a helicopter...WHOP WHOP WHOP HWOP

  • @dumapies It's called repeat percussion

  • @vintagevibekeyboards

    oh...i was not aware...

  • I had a Gemini I or II that just started squealing no matter what I did. It was too loud + unpredictable for apartment living, plus I was broke and it was too heavy to take somewhere to get fixed and pay for when I was already broke. Against my better judgment, I sold it on Craigslist. I knew it must be worth something, but couldn't find any price online, so I asked for $100 due to wear+tear. The person who bought it paid $50 extra. So, I probably got ripped if he overpaid just cuz he felt bad!

  • on this amp does the tremelo run before or after the reverb? sound almost like two amps

  • I've got the same Gemini II... a bit beat up looking, faceplate scratched, some idiot re-tolexed it with naugahyde. Still, as a $35 garage sale find? :-)

    still sounds incredible.

  • @soundboy3 you have to be shitting me 35.00 ??? i dont care what its covered in @ that price as long as it works Id save up and have it recovered at that price lol I own a 67 & its freaking un real It can bite you with highs or drench you in maple syrup

  • @divrack It works, just needs new caps (the older they get, the more the caps leak... which is where most buzz comes from)... and the pots need to be cleaned, a bit of crackle there.

  • @soundboy3 if your in NJ only one place to take to period The guy that worked on my amp was the service manager at Ampeg when this was built ! Central Jersey Repair Rt @7 Edison NJ Amazing tec The reason mind sounds the way it does id because of him He dialed that sucker in I also play only thru the accordion input on channel one I also had him replace the original tubes to 6l6s so would not be such a hassle replacing them and WAY less expensive plus i got 5 more watts of power from 27 to 32

  • 1:37 FTW FOR SUREE!!!

  • i have a '70 Gemini VI as well as a '62 Rocket, and the secret with these amps, is you plug them into the "Accordion" input. it gives you a far superior output level and has better tone than the "Guitar" input. try it. you'll be stunned.

  • @peterwojo Absolutely 100 % correct I own a 67 only one i use on channel 1

  • i git a gemini 1. GREAT rehverb, great clean sound.

not to mention, it sounds great overdriven

  • I have got a Ampeg Gemini II and I think that it has the best reverber i've ever heard.

  • @niknopl i agree i had a 1000.00 Victoria reverb tank this blows it away and the tremolo is sick when you hit the top boost on both it 's like nothing ive ever heard

  • Respond to this video.. i had 1000.00 Vintage Victoria reverb tank t i use to paly with a vintage fender 5 watt champ his is as good or better.

the beauty of the Ampeg : You can get the tubes humming and find the "Sweet Spots" without tearing the walls down...

  • I had one of these amps when I was a kid. Absolutely incredible tone, especially when cranked with a Les Paul. Miss it to this day.

  • how many arms do you have??
