Amazing how much people research to hate bono. Hell, in my mind u2 will be the coolest band forever because they tried to help the real poor and did not take the easy way of drugs and stuff to be a show off..
And I'll say one more thing about the last minute tickets. I went to the Rose Bowl show. In the weeks leading up to the concert I tried to get 2 tickets. Nothing there. I finally got 2 tickets the day before the show. Why? Because bands reserve a number of very good seats in case of something coming up, say, a number of friends or relatives or hot women show up. Then they have tickets. This is why you can usually get great seats for the show if you time it right on the day of the concert.

Have to say that the other two new U2 songs 'North Star' and 'Every breaking wave' are fantastic, great melodies and not over produced. You should check out the acoustic version of 'No line on the Horizon Helsinki' - way better than the album version. U2 unplugged would be something else! This song here is a good rocker though!

But you're making assumptions here, that's where you don't have the facts. Edge coming on with Muse wasn't a big deal because that song needs the tightness of Bono, Adam and Larry, which was missing.

And I'll say one more thing about the last minute tickets. I went to the Rose Bowl show. In the weeks leading up to the concert I tried to get 2 tickets. Nothing there. I finally got 2 tickets the day before the show. Why? Because bands reserve a number of very good seats in case of something coming up, say, a number of friends or relatives or hot women show up. Then they have tickets. This is why you can usually get great seats for the show if you time it right on the day of the concert.

Have to say that the other two new U2 songs 'North Star' and 'Every breaking wave' are fantastic, great melodies and not over produced. You should check out the acoustic version of 'No line on the Horizon Helsinki' - way better than the album version. U2 unplugged would be something else! This song here is a good rocker though!

@kellykinsellives I was at the second show of the Popmart tour in Denver. It was half empty. And to be honest, I'm glad the tour did poorly. Why? Because I hate stadiums. I loved it when they had to play arenas. Some of the shows of theirs that I saw in arenas were incredible. So when they announced they are playing only stadiums I was pissed. I was bored out of my mind at the Rose Bowl show. It set attendance record in America, but I would've been thrilled if it were 15,000 in an arena.

Honestly though, what other contemporary band is even close to matching the size of U2?? Yet it's crazy how polarized everyone is toward them! I think most people are closet U2 fans, because otherwise I don't get it.

@VeritySeeker I never see any disrespect towards The Stones or the Beatles though, and they where probably bigger than U2. Everyone seems to love them by default and hate U2 by default. maybe it's because U2 is still relevant and on-going whereas they are not.

i don't understand why all the people here give so much interest to kellykinsel!!! He is known by everyone as an asshole, so don't put too much attention to what he is saying and enjoy the u2 videos or if you have the chance (like myself) to see them play live to enjoy every minute of the show, because it's the best show this planet has ever seen...:-)))
