ive stuck with the eldar since i first started 40k. Been my main army, although i do play imperial guard too. A lot of people give them flak for being 2 vulnerable to shooting, lack enough weapon choices or troop choices. But u know what? Those are the same people who suck at strategy and get beat in chess within 5 minutes lol. Dark eldar are one of the most dynamic armies in 40k. The only army i regularly have trouble with is Tau. They are the bane of DE's existance. Ive nvr tried wych army tho

Btw for those who speculate about new DE here's what I know:

A lot of new fluff has been printed in the past few months, a lot of rumors have been talking about a future release, it's a fact confirmed by GW that they have been working on several new DE minis.

One fact that's currently unknown: release date.

It was said for 2010, right after space wolves, but still no official date yet.

Lol gone forever when so many keep buying, I'm not saying that a 90% of 40k players buy DE but it's still a fair amount.

Today I still see people starting dark eldar, models are still being sold and being asked for, there's no reason to discontinue dark eldar.

Some DE models look very decent, just look af Lelith :p

The new codex will come out it was even said in the white dwarf, it has been confirmed by the codex writer on countless gamesday.

not liking how they look is fine, I hate orcs and marines, we all got different taste.

Yeah it has been ages since any updates have been made, but trust me DE are being worked on.

There are way too many rumors and official GW staff that confirm their release, only thing we don't know yet is the date.

If you look for rumors you'll find a lot, but that doesn't apply to squats, in fact GW staff have said that is just BS, while they keep insisting on the fact that the new DE will come out someday

I'm kinda sad about how much time it's taking for them to release them, many new models were made years ago, fluff and rules were written some time ago too, but you have to consider 3 things:

-you need time to transform greenstuff into plastic, then you need time for the production of it all, same goes for codex printing and so on.

-You have to take a right time to release them

-they're so old they want to be sure that next edition is kickass.

Lately there has been a lot of new DE fluff and new DE articles on GW sites have been very weird like they were ignoring old codex and it is said that they already consider new rules.

So many things point towards new rules and new models, i got no clue why they don't release them : (

No, nids are 100% first, codex artwork and content is already available on rumor sections of forums.

No necrons anytime soon, but it has been confirmed that DE will come after nids, NOT necrons, those are for even later.

Codex is going through last steps, most models are done and ready.

DE models and dex will go limited edition soon to make place for the new DE.

No official date yet, we just know it"s after nids for sure.

i think they should just make all dark eldar weopens assault weapons. it makes perfect sense. and they should also get first turn as they are raiders. the game workshop has made there codex poorly as it doesnt truly reflect the nature of dark eldar and wat they do

High elves are located somewhere in the EYE, so the high elves probably were descended (Not ancestors) from the eldar. Dark eldar are just eldar corrupted by the forces of chaos.

Dark eldar are usually, most of the time, recommended for experience 40k players (which explain why they're so fragile) i've been in the hobby for a good 5-6 years, and im going to try my hand at the D.E.-but ya I've been through the codex and seen some tactics, speed and deception are their strongest ally; i also recommend them for experienced players

Dark Eldar are awsome. Yes on paper they look like crap but using them is a different thing. So far I am undefeted with them wish I could say the same with my Tyranids. I only have used them 10 times so far but they hit extremliy fast and hard. When you are going fist most of the time it makes a big difference.

Dark Eldar sure need some adaption to the newer rules, Just the rule "always gets the first turn" would help alot. and make Scourges Fast Attack or let em take Desintigrator.

If you don't get the first turn, you might aswell shake hands and play another game. If you get it however, you can even out pretty good.

Special Consolidate rule that will make em able to consolidate into a new close combat.

Champs for all units.

Hit n Run for all wych units.

May ALWAYS take Shadowfield save.

And doesn't suffer pin from crashed Raider.

I think the jetbikes would look much better if you kept them all with the same configuration pertaining to the nose piece and weapon mounting positions. What reason would there be for the bikes to look so different from one another? Offers no cohesion and there's no reason they would ever be built those different ways (even by emo, drugged out dark elves). Just my opinion, but everything else looks great!

well the dark eldar are a very chaotic army like the orks so they all do ther own thing for the most part, andd they are prone to customizing there equipment with sharp things. also since they dont actually have factorys producing them they ass look differant. and then there is just personal tast, it give them a more mad max stlye raiders look with the slight differances. i personaly like it that way.
