I have went 140 jus intake on the h23a1.ur f22 prelude wont beat nothing man.race someone that knows how to drive their h23 good.yea it took 6k to get to 40 so wat.that dont mean nothing.the lowend tq will pull on you for sure.i pulled on 95 h22a with bolt ons from a stop its my friends car. I drove it its fast up top.

f22's are dohc motors too, i had a 95 prelude sr, dohc f22 in it a jdm f22b

They do make a f22b dohc but an f22a is a sohc. Only f22b with no number at the end the rest f22b1 are sohc.

with the f22 you can slap on an h22 head, giving you vtec, and dohc, build up the bottom end and turbo it, and you got a serious car right there. :P

I dont know bout a f20, but a f22 is roughly the same motor, 2.2 v-tec, only difference is its a sohc and not a dohc.

The f22a does not have vtec. Thats what this car would have if it had an f22 based engine.

It was definetly an f22a1 then. People take the ECU from the prelude S and put it in the 1990-1993 accords with f22a1's because its more agressive and add's 10 HP

The prelude S came with an f22a1 while the rest of them ( not sure of trim level ) have an h23 and the vtec prelude is an h22a

The 2.0 liter was the 3rd generation and only was made till 91.

2.3 doesnt have vtec i have on...there is an h23 that has vtec but it doesnt go in the prelude...its the jdm motor that goes in the accord euro r...jus trowin that out there...thats y it sounds like it doesnt have vtec cuz it doenst
