In my opinion, Hell Sign "Thousand Needle Mountain" is much easier on Lunatic than on Hard mode. because of the pattern of the needle that is easy to read on Lunatic.

@cutlessace Reimu has a smaller hit box than Marisa so it would be easier to slip through gaps in many spell cards. Stupid Mountain of frikkin needles....

@cutlessace Marisa A is better than Marisa B unless you're going for absolute bombspam. Reimu B is actually pretty good (strong bomb, homing is fun) but Reimu A is my favorite overall due to shotgunning.

By the time I get to Scarlet Meister I usually have no lives left and 1, perhaps 2 bombs. I think it's safe to say that only a miracle could get me past alive.

When you get hit by a bullet, you have a very small amount of time to activate a bomb and nullify the death. Around 0.3 seconds I think. But it depends on characters/games.

Grazing means your character touches the bullets, but it doesn't connect with the hitbox - where your character has to be hit to be counted for a hit. Grazing racks up points. And points = extra lives. Later games in the series focus a lot more on grazing, actually, so it pays to get close to death, I suppose.
